What makes Niko Niko's Greek Cafe on Montrose so consistently good, is the presence of family owners/managers always directly involved in every aspect. He may be taking orders at the counter, overseeing the openly viewable kitchen line, or walking the restaurant to ask you about your meal. We've been coming to Houston since 2003 for Dr. appointments, and this restaurant is a destination every single time we are in Houston. I read the reviews about "hit or miss" and "over-priced," but those terms have never applied in our 30-40 times to dine there. We ALWAYS get authentic, freshly prepared Greek, top quality dinners, and LOTS of food for the price. We always have extra and take it in a "GO BOX" back to Waco. We definitely agree with reviews that say this may be the 'BEST GREEK FOOD IN HOUSTON!' Yes, it's very casual, order at the counter, paper and plastic dinnerware, but that combination with fabulous food is what makes Niko Niko's on Montrose such "A FIND."

Loved the food and the staff. Great tasting delicious Greek food. Lemon Potatoes are fabulous. The desserts are classic. Yum yum

Great place to eat! All types of appetites can be satisfied here. You may have to search for a place to sit. If it isn't too hot, you can sit outside.

We really like the good here, particularly the gyro plate and Greek salad, but the place is always so crowded and seating is scarce and uncountable. Desserts and coffee are pretty amazing as is their iced tea. Try to go at a non-peak time to maximize enjoyment of the experience.

We had lunch at Niko Niko's based on its excellent reviews. It was not the experience that we expected. First, we had a very difficult time finding a parking place. We circled the parking lot for at least 5 minutes and could not find one even though it was 2:00 in the afternoon. We ended up parking way down the street. Second, we had to wait in line a while to order. We did not realize that it was not a full service restaurant. Third, they forgot our order. We saw people who came in long after us get their food, so we inquired about ours. They had misplaced the order somehow. Finally, the food was really not that good compared to other Greek restaurants where we have dined.
