I was visiting Houston and felt like having a pizza one evening. Looked at the restaurant guide in the hotel and saw the list of the usual suspects. I went down to the front desk to get a recommendation. They dismissed all the places on the list and highly recommended George's Pizzeria. Delivery, I was told would not be available but George's was about 10 minutes away. I made the call, ordered my pie (Small, all cheese, all sausage). Jotted down the directions and found my way to George's. George's is one of those places that you drive past and never pay attention to. Located in a bit of a run down strip mall with very little ambiance. I arrived just as my pizza was coming out of the oven. A short drive back to the hotel and I sat down to enjoy my pie. George's pizza is a bit deep dish, but not very thick and doughy, but a happy place between thick and thin. Very fresh, tasty and still very hot. From New Jersey two thumbs up to George's Pizzeria and Italian Cuisine.
