While I would term this an "average" hotel, our experience was very good. Room was nice and smelled so clean! Larger than normal with a living area, little kitchenette, and real closet with a door. :) Even though we were right beside the Interstate, we didn't hear any traffic noise. Breakfast was above average.

Room Tip: Not sure if all rooms are "suites" but ours was huge! Request a suite.

I can live with the cheap, hard mattress, but I cannot live with the rude, incompetent employees and extra charges on my credit card for a missing pillow that I did not take. The manager needs to take a hard look at their inventory procedures and perhaps do background checks on their employees.
I had to request being moved to another room because the TV and telephone did not work in the first room assigned. The clerk didn’t like to have to do that and got snippy with me. Several days later there is a $35 charge on my credit card. When I called to check on it they said the manager charged me for a missing pillow. When I asked to talk to the manager they said he was in California, didn’t know when he would be back and they couldn’t call him, but would let him know that I called. . . It’s been a week and no word from him. I travel a lot for business, having stayed over 98 nights in Choice Privileges hotels this year alone. I try to go to reputable hotels to avoid problems like this. My advice is to avoid this hotel.

2nd visit to facility. New management, the son of the owner. Had to ask his permission for everything. Exercise facility locked and required his permission. Discovered roaches in my room and requested spray, staff had to ask his permission. Equipment was inoperable. Ice machine on the 3rd floor inoperable. Outside side entry door with key card entry box was broken and the entrance inaccessible. No receipts slid under the door to allow you to rectify your spending in an effort to save paper. Renovations being made slowly. Breakfast, less choices compared to last year. Management appears to place money over people and good service. Poor bookkeeping, submitted paperwork for a group of rooms. Paperwork not found. Members paid for one night, no record of confirmation. We were guilty until we proved our innocence. When the error was discovered to be on the end of management, no apology was rendered. The owner had the audacity to ask if we wanted to use the facility for next year. Treated poorly overall, cannot justify returning. Hurricane evacuees were residing here during this time. I think these dynamics added to the stress level inside this facility. Used facility last year but had a different manager wonderful experience last year. This year was horrible. I will put this up to a vote amongst the members. I received complaints, more than likely we will not return. The staff appeared fearful of the owner yet was extremely accommodating to the guests. It was unfortunate it appeared they had to ask him for permission to breathe. Frugality understandable but Miserly Control is not!

We were in town again this year for Homecoming. I will not patronize this owner anymore. I do not advise anyone else do so either. Do not support bad behavior by owners. Spend your hard earned monies somewhere else. Pray for the staff that must feed their families by working at a facility with a misguided management.

Shame on Quality Inn and suites for allowing this property to devolve into the sad state it's in today.

The furniture is literally falling apart. The rugs are coming up and stained, the wall paper is peeling, the bathtub was stained, the stairwells are filthy (They weren't vacuumed once in the week I stayed.)

The rooms smell musty, probably because they haven't been renovated in at least 25 years.

Our entire stay with the Hilton Jackson, in Jackson, Mississippi was excellent! It began with their willingness to allow pets (including cats) and the very reasonable rate charged - even for a last minute reservation while escaping Hurricane Irma! Every member of the staff we came in contact with was friendly and attentive. The hotel was not only beautiful, but our room was very clean and comfortable as well! Our sincere thanks to the Hilton Jackson's management and entire staff for making us feel so welcome! We have already been telling all of our family and friends how great everything was during our recent stay!
