Big oversize rooms, modern, big windows, confortable beds, free wifi, great!

Notes for even a better stay; no restaurant onsite but a small grovery in the lobby, floors are harwood so there is some room noise.

LOVED this hotel. Not sure where to even start...traveled with two 15 year old boys. The free breakfast was great, lots of choices. They had omelets, sausage, hashbrowns, biscuits and gravy. Oatmeal, cold cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, smoothies, waffles, French toast, and bread choices. Whether you like a more traditional breakfast or healthy they had you covered. My boys even liked it and they are hard to please. The hotel is a green one, which I could appreciate the extra effort they put into that. Mostly in little details that I ended up enjoying, like a water filtration dispenser at the sink so you didn't have to get bottled water. Dispensers in the shower that held shower gel and shampoo instead of all the little bottles.
We got a room with two queen beds, and with 4 people there was plenty of breathing room. Beds were comfy with lots of pillows. The kitchen was nice even though we didn't cook. Full size microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher. They provide everything you would need to cook including nice pots and pans. Bathroom was nice and big with a rainshower and a hand held wand in the shower. Flat screen tv on a stand that swiveled so you could watch it in bed, on the couch, or standing in the kitchen area. Very nice work out room with new machines. Staff were all very
nice and helpful. I can't think of one bad thing to say about this hotel, will definately be back!!!

Stayed for a "just to get away weekend" and it was great as usual. Went to a musical and the State Fair and had a good time. Easy to get to, lots of restaurants just down the highway and had no problems. i only have two very minor gripes if thats what you want to call it. The hotel needs to put a little list in the rooms that shows what each channel on the tv is and what channel you put it on to access the cd / dvd player. Also, there needs to be something in the room that explains how to regulate the air conditioner. other than that i would recommend the Element to anyone.

This hotel is very unique in many great ways! Bathroom and shower are cool & modern, small kitchen space & spacious room make this Element a very nice place to stay. The gym was also great. I saw the pool area and it looked very nice but I did not have time to experience it. This is a nice hotel to experience!

My wife and I were hunting for a Westin-brand property in the Dallas/Ft Worth area, closer to the Ft. Worth side and were recommended this option by the reservation agent. Billed as a "green hotel" we took a chance and really loved it. Although the trip was leisure, I'm a heavy business traveler and always have a little work I'm doing, even on a weekend getaway, so my review considers that as well.

Good points:
- terrific overall value - we were quoted a $139 for a suite, but with an AAA or AARP discount, you can get it for $104, like we did
- get the suite - the extra room was really nice... reasonably spacious efficiency kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom
- fully outfitted kitchen with nice glasses, dishes, extras would have been great for a quick DIY meal, if we had needed it
- pull-out roller table available for a nice dinner for 2, if you want it, instead of at the desk or living room coffee table
- big shower w/overhead and hand-held showerhead options
- plenty of towels for 2
- spacious king size bed
- tvs in both rooms, with lots of channel options (60+)
- great complimentary breakfast in a light, sun-filled large breakfast area (no annoying loud TV like is often found, blaring the controversies of the day - thank you!)
- great exercise room, with all updated equipment, along with nice outdoor pool/patio area

Things to improve:
- no ice in the fridge and no ice machine that we could find - we ended up asking for it at front desk
- the glass top business desk was a little small for working space and lacked the usual multiple electric outlets right on the desk, although it was well situated between the living room and kitchen, close to wall outlets
- there is a thermostat in the room but seemed like it was a bit slow cooling or heating (could be the energy efficient design)
- the bed wasn't a "heavenly bed" from the W/Westin, or at least felt a little harder than those, but still comfortable
- perhaps due to the relative newness of the property, the shower door edge (that holds in the water) and the handle were both a bit loose, like they had been installed quickly and just needed a quick tightening by maintenance

That's it - overall a super place for the value and, like I said, I'd definitely return for business and/or leisure and plan to seek it in future travels.

Room Tip: Get the suite option - it's worth the money

Excellent Service. Very economic considering breakfast, happy hour/dinner, shuttle service to and from DFW and within 5 miles. Clean. Friendly staff

I stayed here for business in July and October 2011. I was frustrated to find that this hotel's address is not located on any navigation systems - you have to call the front desk and they will give you an address for Regent Boulevard which intersects with Beltline Road - this is next to the hotel. The breakfast is good, but I found some of the items which were supposed to be warm as pretty cold when I ate at 8:30am on a weekday (breakfast lasts until 9:30am). The front desk staff was very nice and accommodating with my first floor request. The workout facilities are great, full weight room and several different cardio equipment choices. Rooms have a full fridge, dish set, sing, stovetop, microwave and dishwasher.
The most frustrating thing was that I worked from my room in the morning on Monday and when I asked the maid to come back at noon, she continuously knocked on my door every hour as if she didn't understand what I had said before.
