I ll try to be nice. It is just not a nice place to stay. Our room was was clean but it had a very unusual odor. A combination of disinfectant/and mold. I dont know which was more prevelant.
The staff was nice, and to be fair, it seems that this is an older motel. The price though at 70 bucks a night was excessive I feel..
It appears that many truckers stay here,, And considering it is off a major highway, it may attract people who are just exhausted and want a place to sleep.
The rooms do have a fridge, and a microwave. Outside of the hotel/motel, there are numerous chemical factories which are common in this area of Texas. The smell/stench can be overpowering at times, but generally if you are used to it, it shouldnt bother you that much I suppose. I found the hotel grounds to be rather dirty as opposed to clean.
There are restaurants in the area that you can walk to.
Over all if you can put up with the above problems, and you are exhausted, and just can't drive anothe mile, and don't mind forking out the $$, it's doable.
