I'm sure this used to be a top-flight resort, but, as with many properties in Bali, it has suffered from a bit (quite a bit) of deferred maintenance. The bathroom would have been impressive, had it been kept up (it had nice bones), but the cracks and caulk and corroded fixtures and general air of disrepair put me off. The entire "junior suite" (which was really just a room with a bathroom) was way, way, way too dark -- perhaps they were trying to hide the flaws? We had to call twice just to get one of the two lamps to work! There were marks on the walls and the stairs going up to the room were filthy. To top it all off, the nightclub at the property next door blasted music that we were unable to even blot out with earplugs -- some kind of live band karaoke; not even good music! BTW, this hotel is located on Kuta Beach; I don't know why they list it as another town.
The pool was nice, but buggy. Between breakfast and a morning poolside I ended up with a dozen mosquito bites.More
