This hotel gives very good value for money. Room rates are low and includes a very adequate buffet breakfast. Reception staff efficient and helpful. Rooms adequate in size and cleaned well. Very good location. Free wifi in the hotel.

Having only booked our rooms only half an hour before arriving at the hotel, it was was fair enough our booking hadn't yet appeared on their system. However, this didn't stop the Hotel Balmoral staff going above and beyond to honour our reservation. The rooms were immaculate, the food was nice and the atmosphere was relaxed.

Room Tip: Choose the pool side for the sun...

just returned from the Balmoral for a second time for a 3 night stay with friends. Once again we had a good experience. check in was fast and breakfast was good, rooms are a good size for 2 poeple. still resembles a nuring home with huge gatherings of spanish elderly at meal times in the lobby but this is quite nice and would never put me off. they must be slighty deaf most of them as they talk very loud all the time and at bedtime they have their tv's blazing you can hear every word haha.
i love the location of this hotel and would suggest it to anyone looking for nice clean accomodation on a budget. i think its worth more than 2 stars as its nicer than some of the 3 stars ive stayed at in the area. it sits right behind mcdonalds (so plenty of free wifi just across the road), and plenty of bars and gift shops. lovely sea views from seecond floor upwards. Great little hotel in a great location !!!

Room Tip: pool facing rooms get the best of the sunshine most of the day, but both sides offer great sea views...

The location of this hotel is PERFECT, and together with the price and the big breakfast makes me give this hotel excellent rating. If you are like me and don't like soft beds, you will sleep perfectly. I will surely go back!!

An excellent stay even though this hotel is only a 2 star I cannot fault it. The room was so clean even the balcony rails were spotless and a wonderful view of the sea. Very reasonably priced and an excellent choice for breakfast. A very quiet hotel will the majority of guests being spanish retired couples and single people. Ideal location. half a minute to the beach (across a main road, pelican crossings).

Room Tip: If you want a good view of the sea would recommend asking for a top floor.7 being the highest floor...

Arrived to find that reception was pleasant and efficient e2 per day for a safety box and a e10 deposit which was returned on leaving, asked for a high floor and was put on floor 6 overlooking the pool had a good view of the sea, the room had plenty of room to move around decent cupboard space, a TV which had the usual Sky News only, for the Brits. The housekeeping was excellent clean towels every day and plenty of hot water. We where half board the breakfast was good, plenty of choice, full english and continental on offer and the coffee machine actually turned out decent coffee, the evening meal had meat, fish choice in the usual various sauces, potatoes from chipped to mash and a salad bar, fresh fruit, cake, rice pudding, yoghurt, ice cream, now there was nothing wrong with the food and remembering its a 2 star it was a reasonable choice but it did'nt quite float my boat nothing spectacular but we didnt go hungry we tended after a couple of days to vary the meals by eating at various cafe's and filled in at tea time. The hotel is well situated, on the promenade side is the bus stop to 24hr square and the marina on to Torremolinos and Malaga, around the corner from the Hotel the bus stop up to Arroyo and Mijas, and across the road by the chemist the bus to Fuengirola and we found that the bus to Marbella stops at this stop also.
The Hotel does cater mainly for its Spanish guests so the entertainment
is geared towards this we found them polite but if your not up for "chatter"
go in at 7pm for your meal as they tend to eat much later. In all I would say that this is a decent clean budget hotel and I would use it again.

Room Tip: High Floor overlooking pool has a good view
