Just got back from 10 day stay in this recommened hotel October 21st Great location, Food could not be faulted, Staff were very good rooms cleaned every day.
Our room very nice, clean good comfy bed but very hot and stuffy, reception told us air con turned off end september. Temperatures were in high 80s air con still on in public rooms but not bedrooms which made for an unbearable conditions to stay in your room.
A large party of Gospel singers arrived over the weekend, the t/v recreation room were taken over by them an they sang their hearts out morning noon and night untill 11.30pm nice. some people above this room had to be moved because of the volume of noise. although it was last couple of days of the hotels season they still wanted an extra 25 e to keep room on for a late flight. Just a couple of faults of what would have been a fantastic holiday (Shame)

Room Tip: Dont go in October if it is hot

I was moved to this hotel as my original hotel closed for this perioid in October. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again for all the tea in China. The restaurant manager was the rudest man I ever met in my entire life! The staff in general were not very friendly with the exception of the cleaners who always said Hola. Actually the clientele were not much better. Between Dutch and German guests, I honestly do not know which were the more rude . Forget Spain, come to Ireland where you will receive a hundred thousand welcomes, no matter what hotel you stay in GAURATEED. It costs nothing to say hello or move out of somebodys way, does it?

Myself & my boyfriend have just returned from a week at the Las Vegas Hotel in Salou. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. Hotel was definately 4 star. Massive lobby, marble floors everywhere, great sense of space. Our room was on the fourth floor (445) overlooking the largest of the three pools, with a sea view & balcony. We emailed the hotel prior to travelling to ensure we got room at the front. Air Conditioning in the room was a god send.We had half board, with dinner included. The food was superb, plenty of choice and eat all you want....The location was very convenient for the beach, shops & pubs. House of Illusion only 3 min walk away, as were two good irish pubs, Christy's & Charlies, with Live Music nightly, Hypnotist etc. Lots to do in Salou, we did the downhill bikes one afternoon, which was good fun & did a bus trip to Barcelona another day, cable car & harbour cruise. Trips like this can be booked in place beside The Danny Boy Pub. Beach is one of the nicest we've been on. Sun Loungers €14 for the day for two, with umbrella.

My partner and myself are in our 40s and we have just got back from the Las Vegas hotel in Salou. The good far outweighs the bad but will be honest on both.
First of all, our Thomas Cook rep was fantastic. He was really helpful and very knowledgeable. He made the welcome meeting worth going to.
To the hotel itself.
Well, the location just cannot be faulted.
You can fall out of bed and roll down a little slope and be on the beach if you wanted to within 5 minutes. It's very close to the resort and local bus services which are easy and cheap enough to get yourself about.
The inside can be described as spotless.
They have very friendly staff who work very hard to keep the hotel clean and to make sure you have a good time.
Particular thanks go to the restaurant manager. He was very friendly, chatty and a very busy man but he always made sure everything was ok.
The rooms are decorated and cleaned to a very high standard. Maid service was daily. We were on the first floor near the lobby entrance. Even with the patio door open, noise was minimal during the day. Only the odd shout or splash from the pool was heard.
The hotel has 3 pools. The main one being at the front, the kids to the side and a more relaxed one at the back. The main has a pool side bar up a few steps and there is also a jacuzzi.
In the hotel, you can either have wifi if you have your own laptop or there is an internet corner with 4 pcs available in the games room.
The food. We found this to be very good and a nice, wide selection. All cooked and presented to a high standard. Both breakfast and dinner are buffet help yourself.
Dinner is done in two sittings.
Either 7pm to 8pm or 8.30pm to 9.30pm.

The Niggles.
I'd like to say that the niggles are nothing to do with the hotel itself.
One thing we found strange was the arrangements at dinner.
The tables seat 4 people and if you go as a couple, you may very well find yourself being allocated a table with two strangers. You keep the same table throughout your stay. To some, this may be off putting but to others, it could be a way of making friends. I just thought I'd mention it.

The other niggle.
I am sorry to say it but the Germans were an absolute nightmare.
Some, not all, were rude, arrogant, brash, noisey and didn't think that queues and and hotel rules applied to them. They were horrible to share the pool area with.
After getting severely pissed off and shouting at them, they did, to their credit, calm down a bit which meant a better time for all.
Also, if you want a good spot by the pool, be up early and grab it!

Overall.
Fantastic!
Would go again.
As my intro says, the good far outweighs the bad.
One last thing. Take plenty of sun cream!

Room Tip: Email the hotel. They won't promise but they will try.

We went on 23rd August for a week.
We travelled with Thomas Cook, and while the hotel was excellent the same cold not be said for Thomas Cook.
Our rooms were on the first floor and over looked another hotel. At night it could have been a bit noisy but we just pulled both sets of curtains which kept out noise and light.
The food was excellent and of a very high standard.
Check your room card as the evening meal is done in 2 sittings and you should arrive in the dinning room at the suggested time.
The hotel is very well appointed with lots of spacious comfortable seating areas . Very clean and a lot of detail. There are mirrors glass and waterfalls all round.
There are two adult pools (One a wave pool) two jacuzzi's and one children's pool beside the play area.
I did not like the fact that children were allowed in the Jacuzzi's In one case a mother had her young baby in it and the child was naked and i wondered was is not far too young for a jacuzzi.

The only other small criticism I could make is that the lifts a re rather small .

The staff were friendly and the hotel was in a great location. Though up a hill, it was easily to come and go through a back door which opened with your electronic room key.

There was a hair drier in the bathrooms. Toiletries were on a tray on arrival but were not replaced.

We have stayed in a lot of hotels over the years and this has to be one of the best .
I will post photos later.

Room Tip: good spacious room comfortable beds. Chest of drawers and plenty of space for clothes. There was a f...

myself and my boyfriend stayed at las vegas for a week at the end of august,as the bus pulled up beside it,our mouths dropped.marble, spotless, pure luxury.we booked into our rooms,in a reception that oozed taste.the bar staff were friendly apart from one guy....our rooms were facing apartments across so that was the only downfall.cleaners had our room tidy every evening, they had the utmost respect for our possessions, they are very trustworthy.we booked as half board and got our breakfast and dinner-our sitting for dinner was at 8.30,which was different, but due to the heat,it suited perfectly. amazing selection of food,if you complain about it,your just being difficult!.a stones throw away from the beach, bars, restaurants, and shops and the stops for port aventura and barcelona.the evening entertainment started at 9pm until 12am,relaxing and enjoying a drink out on the terrace whilst watching traditional spanish dancing wouldnt usually do it for me,but i embraced it all the same.enjoyable.i disagree that this hotel is for older people as myself and my boyfriend are in our twenties and we had a fantastic time.the guests mostly comprise of dutch, russian, french, spanish and a small number of irish and british.all in all it was a fantastic experience of living like a celeb for a week...i would recommend it to anybody who likes a bit of class, comfort and security.magnificent hotel.

Room Tip: email ahead to secure a room with a view overlooking the pool.
