“Great value 3 star all inclusive hotel with beautiful pool & gardens”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 May 2012

We stayed here at Easter 2012 from 2-9 April. It was with my husband, 6 year old daughter and 15 month old son. Despite mixed weather we had a really good break.

FOOD: the all inc buffet was of very good quality with fresh salads, fruit with different hot choices at every mealtime. there was a bit of repetition on occasion but that's to be expected I think. The only thing to note is the restaurant is busy, noisy and totally lacks any kind of ambience. A few years ago this would have bothered me as I would have wanted a more peaceful environment but now with two children it was ideal because no-one minded us leaving behind a messy table and my baby son throwing food over the side of his high chair !!! The staff worked really hard and the restaurant manager was very helpful.

DRINK: beer on tap to help yourself, wine 'ok' but dreadful cocktails as no fresh fruit juice juice was ever used, just that syrupy flavoured water. Coffee undrinkable. This would be the sole reason I wouldn't return to this hotel as all inclusive should mean reasonable tasting drinks. Shame really, maybe wouldn't bother other people but I don't like spirits so I just had beer and wine. With children it's wasn't such an issue for us but if you are going on hols to have a good few drinks then might not be ideal.

ROOM: we were in graciosa block in a family room and was really spacious and overlooked the lovely lawns. The beds were comfy, we had a cot, walk in wardrobe/dressing room with a fridge & safe. Bathroom was small but okay. Very long balcony. No hair dryers so take your own. TV didn't work too well but we don't go on holiday to watch tv. I am sure they would have fixed it if had asked. All areas very clean.

ENTERTAINMENT: staff were brilliant. My daughter went to the mini club a few times and although you don't drop and leave your kids there, they are supervised doing lots of activities like mask making, egg hunt, painting Easter eggs etc etc. we just grabbed a couple of loungers on a grassy area so our son could crawl around and we could see the playground & mini club from there. Also in the evening 8-9 mini disco which had proper little entertainment/plays/dancing for them rather than just an hour of dreadful kids dance songs. We took the kids to bed at 9 so never stayed for any other eve entertainment. We then sat on the balcony and had a couple of drinks (took it in turns to pop to the bar to collect drinks - they didn't mind glasses taken to the room).

GENERAL: the hotel is located on top of a steep hill so a long way down to the beach via steps or the hill. Good views of the maspalomas sand dunes. San agustin is fairly quiet and not particularly pretty. Taxis are quick and fairly cheap to get around locally - we had a look at the dunes and went to playa del ingles - again not pretty but interesting to see.
Pools were very cold but I think this was due to not brilliant hot weather while we were there.

Overall though we had a lovely easter week away, we just wanted some warm weather, good food and a chance to chill out and spend time together as a family. And that's what we got.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool facing room if you want a nice view

We went 14th April for a week all inclusive, we went with an open mind as we only paid 1170 for a family of 4. Which turned out to be excellent value for money, we cud not complain about nothing at all, the kids absolutely loved it as it was their first time abroad. The only thing was a little bad point was the beds, but hey that's not me complaining, the food selection was very good not even the kids moaned about the food. There's always something for you to eat all day from breakfast time till 10 o clock at night. The animation team are fab they always got something going on. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpfull. Everything was just great, would go back again anytime

Room Tip: family rooms are the best

Just returned on Sat 14th April from the Interclub Atlantic. What a place, beautiful, well, kept gardens. Great selection of tasty food, the seperate Chinese bar cooked fresh was fab. Plenty of tables in restaurant. Good entertainment by the resident team, they didn't stop day and night. So much to do you don't have to leave the complex. Beach is a steep walk but if you go straight down past the Spa shop and follow round it's an easy walk specially coming back.
Only blip we had was our room in Tara block was at the back overlooking the main road and bins, were woken up early by traffic and the emptying of glass bottles. Also the Disco is below this block which fortunatly was not on but could be in summer months.
Would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the sea or pool would be a good choice, not Tara block.

Spent a lovely week away from the cold March 2012. Went here with the wife and inlaws. Both inlaws are disabled and I must add that this hotel is more than accomodating for the disabled. The room we had was very large and had a lovely patio area. the bathroom was plenty big enough and huge wardrobe area. The pools we a short stroll from the room and were very nice one with slides for the young ones. Plenty of loungers at this time of the year but in the high of summer this place could be overflowing. Food was excellent throughout and plenty of variety at all sittings. Beer was help yourself throughout and spirits and wine served from the bar. Entertainment in the evening was very good with the staff working extremely hard. We had read a couple of reviews and acted on one which was to walk to Playa Del Ingles. a 15/20 minute stroll (haha). It actually took us over an hour but was worth it as when we reached Ingles there was a carnival with fireworks and all. Overall a lovely place to stay and would definately return to this hotel.

Room Tip: Beware high season as I would imagine here very busy

Have just returned from the IFA Interclub Atlantic, having had a relaxing break. The journey from the airport was only about 20 minutes. We arrived at 2.45 pm and were warmly welcomed and asked if we wanted to go for lunch as the restaurant shut at 3.00 pm. We did this and then were quickly checked in. We had a family room as our party consisted of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. I had previously emailed the hotel and asked for a quiet room on a high floor with a pool view. This is pretty much what we got (photos show view from our room). It was in the Lobos block on the top floor (only three floors). The room was adequate enough for the four of us. The small bed, however, would be too small for a fourth adult. My son is 164 cm and his feet touched the bottom of the bed. The room was very clean, towels were replaced when you wanted them, it had a walk in wardrobe with safe (14 Euros for the week), small bathroom with over-bath shower and a balcony. Previous reviews have mentioned the state of the carpets in the corridors, as I don't go on holiday to stay in a corridor, this didn't matter to me.

We found the staff to be helpful and worked tirelessly throughout the day. There were various activities to join in if you wanted to. The pool areas were clean and it was nice to get a sunbed on the grassy area away from the crowds, but still near to the Cuerto Bar/Snack Bar.

Breakfast consisted of cereals, yogurts, cold meat, cheese, bread, croissants, eggs, beans, mushrooms, small 'white' sausages and frankfurters. The eggs are freshly fried. Lunch was available in the restaurant or Cuerto Bar for hot dogs, burgers, salad, chips, cakes, fruit and ice cream. The dinners are a choice of soups, cooked meats, fish, salads, vegetables and a small chinese selection. Desserts were cakes, fruits, mousses, cheese and biscuits. Watch out for the cubed cheese if you have a nut allergy - this had been mixed with walnuts when put out, but they had all been taken when we chose this so it looked just like 'normal' cheese. Unfortunately, we only found this out after our daughter had an allergic reaction.

Yes, there are quite 'a few' steps down to the beach and a lovely walk along the promenade to Playa del Ingles and Maspalomas (about 5 miles). San August itself is small, with a shopping centre and a few bars/restaurants.

We went on the local bus to Maspalomas and went on the Camels there (12 Euros each for about half an hour). The bus fare was 5 Euros 80 Cents for the four of us each way. We also enjoyed the Discover Mogan trip - bus to Puerto Rico, catamaran out to see the dolphins, stopping at Puerto Mogan for the market and return to San Augustin by coach.

There were lots of different nationalities of guests at the hotel which made it seem like you were 'really' abroad. On the whole we had a good relaxing Easter break in a 3-star all inclusive hotel that doesn't pretend to be anything else. Would I go there again - yes I would, but probably won't, as I normally like to try different places. If you are going soon, relax and enjoy!

Room Tip: Email ahead of going with your preferred requirements.

we have just returned from the ifa interclub atlantic hotel, it was our first time there and it was lovely. The only down side was the cloud that came over for a few hours each day but that cant be helped! we had a room that faced road which was lovely, i read the reviews before we went and a few people had complained about facing the road as if it was a motorway, in actual fact its just the small road leading up to the hotel, but when you are on your balcony beyond the road you have a lovely view of the sea and Maspolomas.

The hotel was immaculately clean and the up keep of the gardens were fantastic. The staff were helpful and poilte, and the animation team worked hard every day and night to keep everyone entertained and the hotel even had guests come in on a night to entertain everyone such as singers, magicians, and animal acts.

The swimming pools were kept clean and the slides were alot of fun for the whole family even grandma!

compliments to the chef and the kitchen staff for the spread of food they put on each day and night it was excellent.

We wish to thank every member of staff that helped to give us a memorable holiday it was fantastic, and nice to see the sun and relax.

really recommend this hotel, Charlotte aged 16.
