We had a wonderful satisfying lunch here. I tried the Lobster Bisque, with the favorite Chicken salad on Croissant. My son had the Akaushi beef, heart healthy burger (Texas beef) and husband ordered the Quiche which they both said were very good. We could not resist the famous warm Blackberry and Peach Cobblers with Vanilla ice cream, which were homemade and delicious!

A group of 5 of us ate at Ellen’s. Everyone got something different, and no one liked their food. The meals that were supposed to be hot were barely warm. We thought about ordering dessert, but were afraid that the desserts might be as bad as the food was. All in all, it was a very disappointing dining experience.

This quaint and cozy café in Old Spring had a bright and cheery interior and playful, patient, and attentive wait staff. A server led us to a clean, small table for four deep inside the restaurant. The in-house menu had many tempting soups, salads, and sandwiches. I tried a Reuben sandwich, potato chips, and a coffee. The big sandwich was just about perfect. Chips were fresh and crunchy. Coffee was hot and flavorful. The rest of our group tried a tuna melt sandwich, a chicken salad sandwich, and a chicken ranch sandwich, with one side of fruit salad and two sides of potato salad. We all enjoyed what we chose. Given the generous portions, prices were fair. Service was excellent start to finish. We got lucky and found free, curbside parking within a tenth of a mile (0.16 km) of the café. We all most liked the big portions and the delicious home-style cooking. We only wished water had been served with our lunches or refills had come with our drinks.
