Stayed there 5 nights on a business trip.
The good - staff was very nice and helpful. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, bathroom had good water pressure. Location was within walking distance of many restaurants and bars. The one thing lacking nearby was a pharmacy or convenience store. Nearest ones were at least 1.5 miles away.
The bad. Breakfast was terrible. Fake eggs. Seating area was odd tables and uncomfortable chairs.
Street noise. It is on a main intersection downtown. Motorcycles and loud cars raving and screeching tires. Also a main route for police, fire trucks and ambulances so alot of sirens and air horns going into the night. I was on the backside of the hotel so I heard less of that but it was very disturbing to other staying in rooms facing the streets, even on the 7th floor.
Patty prices were outrageous. 14 dollars for a pint of ice cream.
Free parking was limited to about 20 spots in a garage, otherwise you pay 10 dollars a night in the same garage behind the hotel. This is an older historic building that Hampton took over.
