“They try hard, but . . .”
Reviewed 7 March 2012

We stayed in one of the lodges which have 4 separate accommodations. After check in, the helpful bellhop lead us to the building/room. Except we had the wrong building/room which was already occupied. So he got another room for us, and someone already was in there too. Third time was a charm, but it was raining, and by this time we were soaked. The poor bell guy radioed in telling the front desk people they were killing him. Another issue we had was one morning, they gave my wife's ski boots from the storage area to another guest. The hotel retrieved them for us, but it took a while because we had to figure out the problem, and then they had to go get the boots from a different ski area than where we were. There were also mistakes about the rate we were supposed to be paying, but these ultimately were resolved. The main concierge/manager guy was very apologetic about everything and tried to be accommodating, but it was a tall order to overcome the multiple service issues.

The accommodations were nice and new with a great view over the pond/lake. It was, however, a little tight for 4 of us. It was a 1 BR, but the kitchen/dining room/living room area where the kids slept was not large. It's convenient to Park City restaurants, stores, etc. and the 3 ski areas are all serviced by their bus. It's good if you want to ski multiple areas, but if you only want to ski one area, you're probably better staying closer to that specific area.

First, Let me say I never write reviews but this time I had to share my experience. My girlfriend and I stayed at Hotel Park City the 1st week of February for a medical conference. The main hotel was overbooked so we were told to book this hotel as an 'overflow'. I am so glad the other hotel was overbooked. This hotel Is incredible!! We reserved a cottage and the private hot tub and 3 fireplaces were worth it alone. The room was immaculate and service was amazing. One day, we wanted to use their stereo and attach our iphone to play music. Unfortunately, their stereos didn't have an iphone/ipod attachment (which is the only thing I advise they upgrade). When we called front desk to see if they have an adapter, they sent over a maintenance person. The maintenance guy said they don't have adapters but he gave us his own personal adapter for us to use during our stay!! Also, the manager of the hotel (I believe his name was Mike) went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Very romantic hotel, great location and great restaurant (Ruth's Chris). Would definitely stay again in the future.

Room Tip: Definitely opt for a cottage. Private Hot tub worth it alone

This was our first trip to Park City, Utah. I can't describe how amazing the service was from the moment we stepped out of the taxi to the last minute when we were leaving to the airport. Outstanding services in everything, from storing out ski boots to making dinner suggestions and reservations. Definitely will come back !! Thanks everyone at HPC!!

It was our first time skiing at Park City and we were blown away by the quality of the service provided by the hotel staff. We travel a lot staying at 5 and 4 star hotels. The way the staff handled all our requests starting from bringing out our skis and boots each morning, storing them away each afternoon, and ending by accommodating us with a late check out (we had a red eye flight) was outstanding. We will definitely return to HPC.

We are just in the way to the airport after an amazing week of skiing in Park City. I have to say this hotel totally exceeded our expectations, and the main reason is because of the amazing staff. The manager and all of his staff made us feel so welcome and could not do enough to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. They even accommodated our very late check out request! We will definitely be back and will be recommending to all our friends back in New York. The restaurant is pricey but great food, the outdoor spa and pool is a must after a day on the mountain! Thanks for a great week, we look forward to coming back!

After having a great stay previously, we returned a month later, finding all of the positives from the last trip present again. Customer service is obviously a priority, with front desk and concierge among the best we have had. The rooms are very well appointed in mountain-themed design and very spacious. Overall, I would return to this property again and again. They have demonstrated good consistency. The onsite Ruth's Chris is a big plus as well. Prices were good during the summer season.

Room Tip: All the rooms are good.

My husband has had a seminar here for the last 4 years and our stays have been very pleasant.
It's an easy 30 minute drive from Salt Lake City Airport and there are shuttle services provided either private or public.
The staff at the Hotel Park City are all welcoming and friendly.
They have a very large lodge-type lobby that is open and bright with direct viewing of the mountains, pool/jacuzzi, and cross country tracks. It is furnished with large overstuffed leather and heavy fabric chairs/sofas and lots of quiet nook areas to sit or read with a cup of Starbuck's coffee, hot cider or hot chocalate which are provided for the guests to self serve. The afternoons have someone playing the grand piano and makes for a lovely ambiance.
The outdoor heated pool/jacuzzi has a firepit with heat lamps and is a relaxing way to spend some time admiring the view.
The hotel has endless activities that can be provided by the concierge with the main focus on cross country skiing with the on property ski shop for private tours, lessons, and equipement rentals/sales.
There are shuttle services with stops in front of the hotel that can take you anywhere in Park City. I enjoyed riding into the historic town with quaint shops and tons of places to eat or drink.
Within walking distance to a Starbucks, food market, drug store, liquor store, and restaurant named "Squatters Brewery" for excellant, reasonably priced breakfast, lunch or dinner.
The restaurants that are located in the hotel are "Ruth Chris Steakhouse & Bar (we like eating in the bar which has a wonderful menu) and the Banannas Bar/Grill(11A-4PM).
We had a delux suite which is laid out with a entry hall, bathroom off the hall, bedroom to the left, step down living area with kitchenette and large floor to ceiling windows with a french door leading out to a balcony with panoramic views of the mountains.
The bathroom is ceramic/stone tiles with one sink, large tub/jacuzzi, large shower with 3 showerheads, and a separate toilet enclosure. Bathrobes are provides with plenty of fluffy towels.
The bedroom area has a heavy wood, raised bed with double white comforters and big pillows, The area is open to the livingroom and views. There is a dresser with a flatscreen TV and desk in the room as well so the bedroom area seems a bit small.
The livingroom is furnished with a leather sofabed, chair, large wood sofa table, an electric fireplace with flatscreen TV above it.
The kitchenette is in the living area and is completely equiped with a small refrigerator, microwave/convection oven, dishwasher, surface burners, sink, dishes and cook ware - everything needed to prepare a meal and it's all built-in with surrounding granite countertop and stone tile backsplash.
Also, there is a closet with a washer/dryer off the hall.
We especially love the view at night with the night ski runs lighted and a BIG pine tree has beautiful red lights which sits right behind the pool so all the rooms in the hotel have this view at night - it's really cool.
They do per day resort fee of $17.00 (for parking/gym use) and the 10.45% lodging tax on top of the hotel rate can really add up.
It's a nice option for people that like a hotel with the convenience of a condo. There are cottages that work out well for families. Very warm and comfortable.
