We decided to stay with Maureen and Warren [the most perfect hosts] after reading the many great reviews, and we weren't disappointed. Home from home, with huge bedroom, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfasts were 'to die for' with fantastic variety.
It can get hot around these parts in summer, so the swimming pool is very welcome.
I can go on and on about how good The Desert Thistle is, but suffice to say you won't find anywhere better. Book early or you'll miss out for sure!

Stayed here based upon TA reviews-- and they were absolutely correct. The hosts, Maureen & Warren, are extremely helpful, the rooms are spotles, the breakfasts are great. What's not to like.?We were traveling with friends from AUSTRALIA , and they couldn't stop complimenting us on this B&B choice for our Zion NP visit. You won't go wrong staying here.

I'm not generally a fan of B&B's - after a long day of travelling I generally prefer the anonymity of a hotel. However, I was very pleasantly surprised by the Desert Thistle. We were looking for a place that would allow dogs. Apparently a five pound toy poodle is too much for many places to accept, and the Zion / Springdale / Rockville area has very few places that accept pets, like almost no place I've ever seen. This turned out to be a lucky break. The Desert Thistle is a wonderful place to stay - very nice, clean, with thoughtfully furnished rooms. Our hosts were very accommodating and considerate, being very welcoming but also respecting of their guests privacy. The Desert Thistle is well laid out for a B&B - it very much feels like it was intended for this from the start. And if you have any concerns about pets being allowed, don't. You would never know that pets had ever been allowed.

If you want to be pampered, feel you have just met the most loving family you didn't even know you had and enjoy a beautiful scenery as the sun sets and lights-up the hills, this is the perfect place to stay.
That was our experience from the moment we set foot on the Desert Thistle and met Warner and Maureen. They are the most hospitable hosts I have ever met and have gone all out to make one's stay comfortable in every way. We enjoyed our two nights with them so much that we would purposely be back before sunset so we could enjoy the setting and hospitality.
The room was impeccable, the bed super-comfortable and luxurious, and breakfast abundant and delicious.
I don't think you can ask for anything more. We had been traveling through Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah and this was our last stop. It was the perfect ending to our vacation. Would love to go back.

Upon our arrival we were greeted by Maureen with a welcoming hug...I was hooked. When was the last time you were greeted at a resort, hotel or B&B with a hug? The home and property was beautiful. We had the Zion Room with king bed, bathroom and television. My wife and I spent part of the evening sitting around the pool enjoying the views and the peace. Maureen came by and visited with us for a little while and it was like visiting with an old friend. Such warm and welcoming hosts. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful... cereal, eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, fruit, yogurt...It was very filling. Warner has a vast knowledge of the area and is more than happy to give anyone suggestions about hikes and places to see. Both recommended a great place for dinner.

But here is what really had me. We happened to be there on Mother's Day and halfway through breakfast Maureen arrived at our table with a gift bag for my wife and another lady. "Happy Mother's Day," she said. Maureen and Warner had purchased a special photo album for my wife. These are people who love their job, enjoy their guests and go out of their way to provide a beautiful experience.

We would go back to the Desert Thistle anytime and would know that we'd be treated like family.
