“Tried 'em all in the Bennington area and this is the BEST.”
Reviewed 24 October 2011

Papa Pete's is between 20 and 25 minutes from our house, but when it's an eat out breakfast day in the Bennington area we head for Papa Pete's. We can't quite finish the excellent giant pancakes, so it's usually omelets or one of the excellent Benedict varieties for us. Always clean with quick and friendly service.

“Great spot for breakfast and lunch..”
Reviewed 6 September 2011

One of the better places in town for breakfast and lunch. The owners Kathy and Lee treat you like family from your first visit. If you have a huge appetite get the pancakes, the size of hub caps ( not really but they are HUGE).

“What a find! What a tremendous meal!”
Reviewed 4 September 2011

Pulled into Papa Pete's with the entire family in tow after a full day at a local festival. What a delight! Enormous menu...breakfast served all day long...and what a feast! Enormous omelets, fresh ingredients, and funny and smart wait staff...and the best was yet to come....a true value! Highly recommended to anyone in the area..and worth the trip...even all the way from New Jersey!!

“"home of the giant pancakes"”
Reviewed 3 September 2011

Travelling on business I try to avoid the chains and came across Papa Pete's - doesn't look like much from the outside but then I walked in and saw something on a pizza pan... oh my gosh was that a pancake??!!!! Yes, yes it was. 12-14" in diameter and served on a pizza pan. I had to have one. I chose chocolate chip with walnuts, but there are dozens of options to choose from and you can mix it up.

My coffee was kept topped off by a friendly, attentive waitress. Locals eat here so you know it is good.

Lots of options for breakfast - eggs, the giant pancakes, etc and they also serve lunch.. I was told that anyone who finishes a stack of 3 of the giant pancakes gets their meal for free - not sure if anyone has completed the task I was still trying to wrap my head around anyone attempting 3 of them at one sitting - feel free to go to Papa Pete's and give it a shot!

“Exaggerated Sign in the Front”
Reviewed 13 August 2011

The food is okay although the Blue Benn Diner is better. However, they have a sign posted on a telephone pole that says "Last Food for 20 Miles". There is a store not more than six miles away up the mountain with a great deli and terrific food. I asked Papa Pete’s owner about it and she said, "Well we're the only "restaurant". I haven't gone there again and won't.
