Lovely setting and menu. They use as much farm to table as possible. Always lots of unique items on menu. Good and unique drinks too.

I have visited this farm to table restaurant once before and though okay but nothing special. I must admit my second visit during MLK was fantastic. I was amazed that we got in and ate at the Bar. The hostess was wonderful in accommodating our party of 4. The wine selections and food were amazing. The menu has a lot of game and it is beautifully prepared. I would particularly recommend La Belle Farm’s Moulard Duck “Cassoulet” and the 21-Day Dry Aged Woodbury Game Bird Pheasant. Well worth seeking out if you are skiing at Stratton or Mount Snow.
As noted in another review, the door opens precisely at the time stated, weather non withstanding. So in inclement weather be prepared for an unpleasant wait or do not be punctual for the first seating. Agreeable ambience, was crowded with customers with smaller children roaming about, fairly high noise level (which is accounted for as a welcome buzz these days, I believe). High marks for a wide and reasonably priced wine list. Service friendly and accommodating. Menu read well but some of the items fell flat. Mentioned to the server who was non committal on my comments. Keeping in mind the location and competition, they do a good job and would return.
The food choices are delicious and different. The combinations of items are not normally found at restaurants is exciting. You can enjoy something for every palate. I had the scallop appetizer and the mushroom ravioli. Both were delicious. The atmosphere is homey and warm. If you are in the area, stop by. You will enjoy it.
Memorable award-winning fine dining, exciting menu, wonderfully artistic bar drinks, and attentive knowledgeable staff, in an historic 1790's era Vermont Farmhouse. Chef-owned, locally-sourced food, including from their own gardens. Such a treat to go there ! Sit at the bar to watch real artistry and be entertained.
