Really good place to take kids. Lots of games while they wait for food. Mostly burgers but a few unexpected good dishes. I had a vegetable pastry tart with fabulous flaky pastry. Waitress said they had a new pastry person from Culinary Institute. Also good maple Rene brûlée.

The Mad River Grill has been closed and will not reopen. The property owners who leased the restaurant building to the chef manager were active in getting the property restored once again to their control. The property owners who are very knowledgeable in the restaurant trade have restored the name of a previously successful restaurant that was there. The new Terra Rosa has reopened with an extremely talented chef, and the new Terra Rosa will soon be reviewed for Trip Advisor.

The place just doesn't get it. The rest of the Valley's restuarants were full, this one had a near empty parking lot, empty tables, which remained empty we were told because of the lack of staff, no greeter, flat beer, negative food comments from other diners and food that went by us which "told" us to leave without ordering. Never again, what a shame, a simple steak house could have been so easy utilizing great local beef.

Visited on a Saturday night and the place was just about empty which should tell something is up. Waiter was dressed in jeans and a sweatshirt which doesn't add up for what they charge. Meal came out cold, and was sent back. The rib eye steak was extremely tough and left 1/2 of it because it was inedible.. Won't be back.

Upon entering, the smell never leaves you. Then the staff looked wired. Then theres no pizza because "the pizza guy who got his job back hasn't shown up for work". Then they charge you for premium steaks and the cuts suck. Then i asked to substitute the garlic mashed potatoes for french fries and they charge me a $2 charge. The only good thing about dinner was the wine. Would i recommend? Hell no! Would i go back? Never! Stay away or bring your own scented candle. Its $200 i'll never get back. I should have just thrown $200 in the fire.
