Don't be put off by the drive to get there! We are country people and even we wondered about where we were going! But the drive was definitely worth it...great, quaint little Meadery! Set up on the front porch of an old log cabin at the top of a dirt driveway...great samples of their mead, very welcoming hosts, if you like mead...make the trip!

We discovered this place only because we saw a road sign near the Foggy Ridge Cider place and decided we had to go because we were in the area. And the "area" feels like the middle of nowhere! But this is definitely a worthwhile stop! The hosts are very helpful and friendly and they offer a multitude of different meads, many of which were to our liking. We walked away with 6 different varieties and we could have brought more home! We will have to stop by again when we're in the area. This is a fun stop!

My mother and I came up because we never tried mead. We were both pleasantly surprised at the options and loved the scenery. We had a lovely time chatting with Joanne and Steve and their dog, Mac, was very friendly. They, also, had love music and it was cooler up on the mountain than in Roanoke. We will certainly be back!

A Wonderful selection of mead's, a match for everyone. From traditional to blends. I enjoyed the Sweet Virginia and the Meloluna. It is on a beautiful setting in the woods. It would have been a bit nicer with the cold wind blowing if the tasting had been had taken place inside by a nice fire.

down the dirt roads again to discover a beautiful little spot where the honey becomes fermented into delicious mead. Some sweet, some tart, lots of choices for any occasion
