A must visit for civil war buffs! Especially those interested in the encampments throughout Stafford County! Mr. Newton is very knowledgeable and spent a good deal of time discussing specific locations of encampments throughout the area!

A very interesting museum with lots of civil war relics. Many units camped in Stafford county during the winter of 1862-63. Mr. Newton was very helpful in telling us where the 1st corps camped, drew us maps and was a wealth of information.

Excellent and worth the stop- Staff very knowledgeable and helpful. No high end museum can provide what the White Oak Civil War Museum offers- Yes the Civil War was a war so you will find many bullets and cannon balls, in addition to many other things

Unbelievably interesting collection, housed inside an old schoolhouse. Beautifully and professionally showcased items representing civil war soldiers and their lives. All locally discovered, this place is a treasure! The best civil war collection I have ever seen! And the collector is on site!

The building looks small from the outside but the look is deceiving. A great collection of Civil War memorabilia from the local area. Tons of bottles, bullets and buckles. The owner is a nice man who will gladly speak to you. Very impressive collection, also show you the troops lived in huts during the war.
