Very bad weather conditions on I-77 led me here. Room cost $79.00 (AARP and/or AAA rate, not combinable) -- Rate seemed high for area. Had to ask about discounts. Former Days Inn property complete with logos. Room was apparently clean but very slow bath/sink drains, flickering sink light, dead insect in bathroom. Room a/c, other plumbing, microwave & fridge worked fine. Good quality linens for this grade motel. Clerks friendly and direct. Next morning, overheard clerk say 6 of 9 guests had their rooms changed during the night due to various room malfunctions ranging from plumbing issues to TV sound problem.
Room rate included Continental breakfast: bread/toaster, yogurt, fruit, cereal bar, coffee/tea/milk, juice, & accompaniments.
If you find yourself in a similar situation you may well grab a room here.
Note: There is a sign "HoA campground Motel $39.99 single" directly across street from entry to gas station in front of this property. Did not check that out as sign not lit at night.
As often, any port in a storm so happy I found this place in spite of caveats. However, if you can get to the next exit north [maybe 5-6 miles] you will find 5-7 motels + 6-8 restaurants, gas stations, & so on. One motel there offered a single room for $39.99!!More
