This Springhill Suites offers the typical value in this sector with good basic amenities and a decent breakfast selection included. The floors are noisy, so go for a 4th floor room if available. This noise was particularly bad one night and interfered with my sleep. The bed and furniture are comfortable and the rooms well-appointed. Location is good for a departure from Dulles, but not much else, especially if your focus is on seeing the sights in DC. The fitness center is small with updated equipment. There is an onsite car rental satellite office, which may appeal to some business travelers. All in all, a decent value option in an area with many other competitors that have similarly-appointed offerings.

We stayed the weekend of Jan 13 -15 2017. I booked 3 rooms for my family members for a family event. We were presently surprised at the amenities in each of our rooms. The rooms were very clean and modern and smelled fresh. We booked a double for ourselves and two daughters 21 and 23. The room had two large comfortable beds, as well as a large pull out couch and a desk with a computer chair. Also a small refrigerator, coffee pot and sink in the living room area. The living room area was very spacious and comfortable, we had other family members join us in the evening and it was really nice to be able to fit everyone.
One great feature was the wall thermostat instead of the basic control on the heater/air conditioner. Many times we have stayed places that were not so specifically climate controlled. The t.v. had many channels and there were outlets to charge electronics in many convenient locations through out the room.
Also the shower and toilet were in a separate room from the sink and mirror, very handy with two girls to get ready.
The lobby had a free breakfast, with scrabbled eggs, waffle maker, fruit, bagels and yogurt. Juice and coffee were available 24/7. They also had a small store with beverages available for purchase, though they charged $3.00 for a cold water bottle. Since all of the rooms come with a refrigerator bring your own water. They did give small complementary water bottles at the front desk during check in. I also booked the handicap room for an elderly family member. It was wheel chair accessible with a walk in shower complete with the shower chair. I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely look for a Springhills Marriot next time I travel. The price was really reasonable $185.00 for two nights.

Room tip: My sister's room was below us and she said that she could here us walking around, so the 4th floor might be quieter.

My room was huge with all white, comfy bedding! There was a separate room for the toilet and one for shower and vanity.

Plenty of closet and dresser drawer space and the flat screen tv swiveled to be viewed either from the sleeping or roomy lounge area.

There is an office area with desk, chair, wifi and plenty of drawers for file storage.

I enjoyed my stay here overnight during our Washington DC area tour of historic places.

We spent the weekend in the Washington, DC with 8 of our friends. One of our friends chose this hotel. It was a great find. From the time we walked into the hotel until we were leaving we found the staff - friendly, accommodating and extremely helpful. The hotel rooms were efficiently laid out with a seating area with a comfortable couch, desk, bar area and a comfortable bed and bathroom. The breakfast area was nice with tables and chairs, a counter and also an extra room for overflow. The breakfast was very good - eggs with extras - cheese, spinach, etc., cereal with extras - nuts, grains, raisins, craisins, yogurt, milk, coffee, fruit, bread, pastries, waffles. The staff drove us to the Metro and picked us up when we returned. It was a pleasant stay. The Metro had some difficulties during our stay - there were delays. The ride to Smithsonian was 1 hour from our location. KUDOS to the Staff.

This is not a five start hotel but considering the place and people, I recommend it highly. The hotel is clean, quiet, and pleasant. The people are the most courteous, pleasant, informative of any hotel in which I have stayed and more than willing to accommodate your needs and help in any way.
