Everything about Fairfield Inn in Herndon pleased us. Very tastefully decorated, comfortable beds, great service, and good location with lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance. The breakfast was varied and had healthy options. There is a nice fitness room, but just one block back from the back entrance you will find a green space for walking, jogging, biking, etc.One trail off of the main one passed through a gorgeous wooded area along a creek. Panera Bread across from the entrance, along with other restaurants. Highly recommend this hotel!

We stayed here for one night and despite arriving at nearly midnight the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and plenty big enough. We had no issues parking and felt very safe. The breakfast was good, although I can imagine it gets busy during holiday seasons. Only issue we had was not the hotel but that we needed $2 in tolls to get from the airport to here...not easy if you've arrived from overseas, especially when the booths weren't manned. But the hotel were great and provided us with plenty of change in case we came across tolls as we left on our road trip.

Stayed here in June 2017. Was attending a funeral in the area. Stayed one night. The girl at the front desk was wonderful. Quick, easy check in and check out. Ample parking in the parking lot.

There is a grocery store next door (Safeway?) and there was a little path between the two parking lots making for super easy access for anything you may need.

Room was clean. Bed was comfy. As others have mentioned the sink is outside of the bathroom. Depending on your needs and how you look at it...this could either be a good or bad thing. I've traveled with family/friends before, and everyone has to use the bathroom at once. Well, with the sink being outside of the bathroom as soon as one person is done they can leave wash their hands outside freeing the room up for the next. As a solo traveler it might not make as much sense.

Stayed here one night, for business. The staff was professional and courteous, the room was clean and well laid-out, with good business amenities, like a built-in set of charging station, and a LAN port so you didn't have to use the free wireless internet if you didn't want. Literally my only complaint was that the rooms are a bit too narrow for the king bed, so the space between the bed and the computer desk was a bit tight.

If you need to visit the Reston area on a business trip, this will do just fine.

Room Tip: I was on the third floor (of four, I think) and it was quiet. This is not a hotel for views.

First of all, thanks to Ethan at the front desk and the shuttle service, that helped take me to places in the area and the airport for free.
The hotel is about average, with the main limitation being a highly traveled area, and one elevator that is small and even broke down during our stay there.
Location is excellent, next to a grocery store and great ethnic food choices.
