Ate here with my family when we were in Hillsville for the night. We were pleasantly surprised. The eggplant parmigiana was made with fresh eggplant, not frozen. The tortellini carbonara and shrimp scampi were great. If you want a low cost meal, the pizza slices were huge and pretty cheap. The service was fast and very friendly. Overall a very good experience.

After our review last year, we did come back with friends. All four of us enjoyed our mains, salad bar and vino. Service, as before, was very friendly and good. Will probably be back next year.

Sunday evening and we thought a nice Italian would fit the bill. So we went to Tony's having read the good Tripadvisor reviews. It started well with our waiter getting us drinks then taking our order. The drinks were nice and generous. I ordered the anti pasto then a chicken spaghetti Alfredo, my wife asked for a linguine carbonara although this wasn't on the menu. Our meals came with salad from the salad bar which was nice and fresh. It was all going well, then ...
Our waiter arrived with our mains and apologised for forgetting my starter, which he said the chef was now busy preparing. I asked for him to cancel the starter which he was happy to do - no big deal really. Both of our pastas were lukewarm but reasonable although the carbonara was not a carbonara but a cream sauce with some bacon pieces. No Parmesan was offered which was a bit odd. As we ate one of the waiting staff was cleaning the restaurant - not just around a messy table but the whole restaurant. It was around 6pm, not closing time!
I'm not sure if the restaurant serves desserts but if they do we weren't offered any. Our bill arrived and was correct but in the end we had to ask another waitress to take our credit card since there was no sign of our waiter. Our payment was received with the minimum of thanks amounting to bare civility.
All in all this was a big disappointment since neither the food nor the service met what I would say were minimum standards. Maybe we just got them on a bad night.

We had traveled 350 miles with two young children in the car. We arrived at Tony's around 9:55 pm & they closed at 10:00 pm. We decided not to stay because we felt bad coming in at closing. We were outside trying to find another place to eat when the Manager came outside & said the Owner wanted us to come in & have dinner. They did not care it was closing time. The food was AMAZING, the waitress, Manager & Owner were absolutely wonderful people! If you are in the area, don't miss going there!

I asked the desk clerk at the hotel about any local restaurants close by and she recommended a few. We were in the market for Italian food so off we went with her good directions. We found it easily, in the middle of two other local restaurants. There is a lounge to the left where smoking is allowed and a dining room to the right - each has their own entrance door and both rooms are attached. We chose the lounge as at the time (early) there were no smokers. The server came over and took our beverage order and brought us menus. Our server brought us our drinks and took our order. He told us the salad bar was in the dining room and included with our dinners. Pretty good variety of choices and fresh. Fairly quiet for a Friday night, but it was still early. Our server brought our dinners. My lasagna was quite tasty, and there was way too much of it. Hubby's choice was linguine with meat sauce and meatballs and more than he could eat as well. Both dinners came with a medium size bread roll. Dessert sounded tasty but we couldn't finish our dinners and passed on desserts. Service was friendly and reasonably on time. Food was good and plenty of it.
