Summer tour hours for Morven Park's three museums are Thursday, Friday,Saturday, and Monday 12p.m.-5p.m. and Sunday 12p.m-5p.m. Starting September 1st, the museums will be open to the public Saturdays and Sundays 12:00 - 5:00, with the last tour starting at 4:00 pm. We had a very nice time walking around the grounds of Morven Park and exploring the gardens. We got there before the mansion opened, so we didn't tour it, but there was plenty to see. The gardens were quite nice, and we loved seeing the turkeys that had been pardoned by the White House!

It amazes me how quiet and seemingly unused this park is for how special it is. Fantastic views and significant historical interest from the steps of the Old Governors Mansion... "Picture Perfect" brick walls, landscaping, fields, fountains, funky horse jumps, etc for family portraits, couples pictures, holiday card photo shoots or even pet pics! Places to hike, trail run, exercise... polo fields/matches, equestrian activities and more. It's a stunning spot, it makes for a great outing, and it's right on the edge of Town of Leesburg! It's a stop we take all of our out of town family guests to see when they are visiting. It's too convenient and too special not to put on your itinerary!

Beautiful period mansion and grounds. We go to the VA Hound Show there every year. The grounds are kept beautifully, the house is magnificent. Lots of history there. Would be a fairytale to live there.

Morvyn Park is the home of Westmoreland Davis, a former governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia. This beautiful mansion and it's surrounding grounds is marvelously maintained, and is rich in the history of Loudoun County, the state of Virginia, and the wonderful story around it's last owner, Governor Davis, who served from 1918 to 1922.

The home is absolutely breathtaking in it's beauty. The grounds are spectacular. You should take the time to get the guided tour of the mansion. It is only $10.00 a piece, and worth every penny as you learn how the mansion was constructed, how it's owner and wife, who both came from wealthy, southern civil war heritage families. The governor was a pioneer in agricultural innovation, and what you'll learn about the grounds will bear that out. Early luxuries are found in the home where innovations like flush toilets, electric lighting, and even a shower in one of the bedrooms were backfitted in this building. These are things we take for granted, but in the early 20th century, they were novel and new.

We spent a delightful 3 hours touring the building as well as walking the grounds. Don't pass this up!

Nice public park for a walk, didn't get to go through the mansion because I got there too late although I did walk about the grounds. Nice bathroom facilities at the parking lot near the mansion.
