This was the worst hotel experience I have had in 5 years of booking trips in Asia. The prices were very high compared to other resorts in the area. I Paid $10 extra for a "top" view room. I was thinking top, like the best view, but it literally meant that is was on top of the building. The view was of a backyard and a construction site. So, the $10 was for the privilege or walking up the stairs. The staff was indifferent when I asked about it and thought is was perfectly normal to pay extra for this privilege. The hot water got lukewarm at best. The room was filled with mosquitoes, but at least they only liked me and not my wife. Oh, this was my honeymoon, by the way. The location was terrible, no where near a the beach. There was at least a 30 minute walk to get to the beach area, you really need to rent a motorbike. Needless to say, I would never recommend this place to anyone. I looked into switching hotels but decided to tough it out, there are much nicer rooms for a much better price, with a much better location.

I became a bit confused because of the hotel's rating on this platform and, therefore, I didn't know what to expect when arriving, but the property turned out to be an excellent place to stay!

It is a beautiful complex of minibungalows with an attractive architecture, where each room is an independent unit interconnected with the other parts of the inn through the garden. The basic category consists of a very spacious room (the mattress is outstanding!) and an annexed bathroom with a funny tropical shower.

I rented a motorbike directly at the reception (for a very good price!) and drove around the island with it the whole day, which was a memorable experience, the distances are relatively short and you can easily get from one point to the other. As there are no buses or tuk-tuks on the island, this way of movement is the best and cheapest one, you do not even need to show your driver's license.

Just take into account that the included breakfast is French-style and not continental, but for anything you need you will find a large supermarket only 200 meters away. I spent here a couple of days and really enjoyed my stay, being all staff members particularily friendly!! They do not speak too much English but they always do their very best to help you in everything you need. Certainly a place to recommend!

The premises have the potential to be uniqe and different, but, it is neglected not maintain properly and quite old.
We intend to stay for 8 nights but left after 2..
The breakfast is bizarre like the hotel itself and the staff can't comunicat in english so thay prefer to ignore you, unpleasant feeling.
The cost is quite high, so don't be mistaken by the pictures.

5nights, 1500thb per night, for the money absolutely valuable, very nice Thai-style furnished rooms. Best times had hotel obviously 15years ago. Nevertheless I liked the atmosphere very much. Breakfast very poor, every day same. Funny forest-style bathroom with no roof. Sitting on toilet with umbrella when it rained -we enjoyed! Pool nice, everytime empty, quiet resort. To beach and nightlife few minutes with motorbike.

This hotel is well designed. The buildings, garden and the pool looks very nice in the picture. But the facilities are old and not kept very well. the terrace window frame of the room88(where we stayed) were shattering down and shakes alot as the wind was very strong at night. the howling sound of the wind kept us awake...
And we were the only people staying at the hotel at that time and it felt a little spooky...
The beach is pretty far away and we didn't try to go. The faculty lady couldn't speak English but tried to be nice.
The windy weather might have made it look worse, but I think this hotel was overpriced and wouldn't recommend to close ones.
The stean room which was offered free by buying voucher through ikohchang site was OK.
