A lovely little hotel, in a traditional courtyard layout with a small pool, and antique-y furniture and decorations. The rooms are small, but tastefully decorated; shower and hot water a bit iffy in terms of water strength and heat! The hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfast choices are great, the fruit plate is huge and delicious. Its a short walk to all the sights and restaurants (its b'fast only at the hotel). Altogether a good find.

Room Tip: Upstairs overlooking the pool

I arrived to the hotel many hours before official check-in time, but i was treated as though I was family visiting. My check-in was immediately processed and then I was offered a free drink to enjoy in the relaxing courtyard as I waited for my room to be finalised. It was an only very short wait and the staff member assisted carrying my very large suitcase upstairs to my room. Room was the largest I had in Nicaragua, well appointed with option of ceiling fan or air-conditioning and sitting chairs outside on the verandah looking over the courtyard and pool. Included breakfast was exceptional - choice of what you would like served with juice, coffee, and side of fruit - and served in the very relaxing courtyard. Walking distance to all the key highlights and the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful with recommended restaurants and sights to visit. Highlights were visits to the Garden Cafe, Chocolate Museum, and El Tercer Ojo. This is definitely the place to stay to enjoy your time in Granada!

El Patio del Malinche is the best hotel we've stayed in, by far. The hotel is located very conveniently in the downtown of Granada, and is also a great place for a stay-in afternoon (you can find a wonderful garden with a pool, bar service, hammocks and sun loungers...).

The rooms are big and provided with all the commodities that one could expect (safe, AC....).

Situated within walking distance of the main sites, and eateries (the hotel only offers breakfast), we spent a comfortable 5 nights in this hotel.

We were transferred from Managua to Granada for $40 , arranged by the hotel. On checkin we were greeted by Abbot, a very pleasant young man. He showed us to our room, room D, which looked like it had recently been tastefully refurbished. Twin beds in an ample size room, with an ensuite shower room, with hot water. The room was situated away from most of the others, so was reasonably quiet from other guests. Although the hotel was quiet with only a few guests.

Abbot was also useful for giving us tourist tips, for example where to have
the best view for Masaya crater, or which bell tower to climb for the best city view.

Breakfast was served within the courtyard. The meal was multi choice, eggs, fruit platters, cereal or muesli, and ample in size.

All the staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. Our room was comprehensively cleaned everyday.

There is a good size pool in which to cool off after a morning's sightseeing. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the lovely colonial city of Granada.

Don't miss the churches and the carriage and horse ride we had number 29 with a young lad called Angelo who was very knowledgeable of the history of the area.

Room Tip: Room D, twin, away from the other rooms, nice and quite, good view (except the communication mast)

The hotel is well-located. Safe area and the room is nice. The service is good. If for a reason, you have to leave earlier, you have to inform them the night before and they kindly arrange for you a good breakfast before you leave. It has wifi. At the front desk, they can give you a list of activities, you can arrange in Granada if you do not arrange tours previously. I highly recommend this hotel and thank so much to the owner for being so kind with us during our stay.

Room Tip: Rooms are nice and comfortable
