I stayed with my 2 kids for 1 night. The wall decor was peeling above the bed, the bed sheets were not super white, and in the bathroom, one soap was packed, one was not. We did not had towels for the 3 of us. I stayed there because this hotel had the less bad review for Dreux. Well, this is really a last choice hotel.

The hotel has groundfloor with the reception and restaurant and 3 floors with 5 rooms on each floor.
The lady at the reception is absolutely very nice and helpful, but is the only thing good we found. There is no elevator, the main open stairway is also the emergency stairway. If you have a room at the front you can escape probably to the neighbours, if you have a room at the back you can jump in the river, which flows at the back. The room at the front is noisy garbage get collected in the middle of the night and at 6 they start claening the square in front. We had a visit of a cat in the middle of the night! The bathroom has not only fungus on the tiles in the shower but even up to the ceiling. The tiles in the bathroom are loose from the wall and bulging out, they might drop off any moment, don't touch. No toiletroll holder, it is on a shelf. Incent gets burned in the morning which fills the whole hotel and you have to like it. In the restaurant a wooden finishing strip hangs half loose from the ceiling. The breakfast is good and you can even order your type of egg,

We have used this hotel to break our journey home several times now. Dreux is only 3 hours' drive from Calais. As ever we received a warm welcome from Mme Dubessay, who has really smartened the place up since she took over 4 years ago. The rooms have been redecorated and are clean and comfortable. At the front they look out over a pedestrianised square and at the back over one of the branches of the river which snake attractively through the old town centre. There is a public car park beneath the square which is particularly convenient. Breakfasts are good and offer a good choice.
There is a choice of restaurants in the town and an appealing selection of food shops to stock up on last minute purchases. The covered market is worth a visit.

Room Tip: I prefer the view over the river but all the rooms are quiet.

We arrived after a long journey and found free parking as in a motorbike but not sure about the parking cost for cars. The hotel had what seemed like family and friends in the lounge and breakfast area so we went to our room. After changing and returning to the lounge the area was still full of family and friends of the staff. We went for a meal in the square. On our return no family or friends in the lounge/bar area so we ordered drinks to sit and relax. At 22.00 we we told the area was now locked and we could finish our drinks in our bedroom but had to leave the area. The advertised English tv channels in the room were not available and staff did not know what was wrong. The bed was very uncomfortable so no sleep. To end on a positive the staff did their best. Would I stay again a big NO NO NO

The hotel proprietor rescued us when the previously booked hotel ran out of water. We couldn't find where the Hotel was so she came out and found us and took us back to the lovely hotel which smelled lovely. She was very kind and jolly. I would definitely recommend this Hotel
