Perfect place to stay for one night to get an early start on the ferry.Rooms were compact but had everything you could want...tv..wifi and parking.Easy reach of various places to eat and perfect for the port.

First time we've stayed at this particular "B&B", but we found it to be just as good as the "Ibis", just down the road, (and practically half the price). The manageress was very welcoming and helpful, - with a free chocolate when we checked in. There was a choice of eateries less than 5 minutes walk away. The room and beddding etc. seemed nice and clean and not nearly as cramped as some chains we've stayed in. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.

We use this B&B to and from the UK at least 3 times a year. It is cheap, easy to find, the beds have clean sheets, the water is hot and the parking is free.I have always found the manageress / manager very pleasant too,
We can bring the dog if we wish and MacDonald is within easy walking distance.
Now there is also a new supermarket and a couple of textile outlets a 3 minute walk from the hotel too. We use it so we can get to the tunnel easily and also so we can shop in the nearby designer outlet before coming back or entering France.
On the downside, the rooms are small and smell musty. The walls are paper thin, and sometimes you can find dog hairs in the rooms.
We tend to make sure that we are wearing our slippers when we go from bathroom to bed. What would you expect though for the price.
We don't have breakfast but buy some breakfast biscuits from the supermarket and eat else where, but that is just us the breakfast look ok.
When I use this chain it is for an overnight stop and for 1 night it is fine.
Now ........ if i had the money I would of course be in a 5 star hotel but then if you are reading this it is because you are looking for a cheap place to stay, and it is certainly that!!

The room was clean and the staff quite friendly. We did not see much as we arrived just before 'closing' and left again quite early. Ideal for overnight when departing early and arriving late for ferry. Will stay again if going via calais and will try to arrive earlier.

We've been using the B&B since it was built for one or 2 day stops at weekends or en-route elsewhere. It always offers good value basic accomodation but like most hotels gradually becomes a little tired after a few years. Most of the rooms have been recently facelifted so its a good time to go! The check in is available outside the hotel so no French is required if you don't want to and is available 24 hours so late ferries are not a problem. Can be a little noisy as people arrive but that's the people not the hotel. All the rooms are accessed from outside covered corridors with a coded entry-you get your code from the machine when you pay. Reserve on line and pay when you get there-if you're later than 7pm the first night's stay is taken from the card you used to book-you dont lose the room. Hotel staff are there for a few hours each day in the morning and evening and speak good english.

Room Tip: Go for non smoking when you reserve

Location, about 5 or so minutes drive from Eurotunnel terminal, next to Auchan shopping centre, not far off the A16. A car is essential.

The hotel is a fairly new purpose built building within a fenced area with good parking. Nearby is a F1 hotel and also a Kyriad hotel. The B&B hotel is not in a town centre. Note that access to the hotel is from a small roundabout just South of the Auchan complex, watch for signs or look for the Kyriad hotel.

I booked in advance online. B&B hotels have an automated check-in system, put the card that you booked with or the reservation number in a machine and you get the room details, remember to print them out. In the evening there are no staff, so this is the only way of checking in. I’ve done this quite a few times, it works very well and there have never been any mistakes or problems. This system is very common with many French budget hotels. On the printout is your room number and a code to open the bedroom door, the same code is used to open the car park gate, so at night when the gate is closed you need to get the code before you can park the car.

Rooms are basic, but adequate, certainly not deluxe. Bed, TV, small bathroom with toilet and shower. My only quibble is that there is just one small pillow per person and the duvet is a bit thin. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. When booking you need to be aware that there are smoking and non-smoking rooms, I smoke so this suits me.

Eating and Drinking. There is no restaurant, just a simple area that is only used for breakfast. If you want an evening meal without having to drive there is an ok Buffallo Grill restaurant about 5 minutes walk away, you can see it from the hotel, there is also a McDonalds. Breakfast is about 6 Euros, just simple breads, some pastries, juice, teas coffee etc, and also bacon & scrambled egg, however I think egg is powdered, and the bacon is streaky not back, not great but fills a gap.

This hotel is really only intended as a quick, cheap, overnight stop with very basic facilities, but this is reflected in the price, we paid 41 Euros. If you’re just on a shopping trip it can make sense to go over the night before and stay here so you get a whole day shopping, or before heading off on a long drive. There are quite a few budget hotel chains in France each in its own price range. B&Bs are not at the bottom or at the top. You get what you pay for, just be realistic and don’t expect too much. If you want more comfort and facilities pay more and stay at the nearby Kyriad, if you want to pay less then stay at F1 next door which is even more basic.

I use this hotel fairly often and know what to expect, and accept what it is and also what it is not.
