We really enjoyed our stay in Bacharach. The village is a true jewel in the Rhine Valley, surrounded by the vineyards and medieval remains. The apartment in the House owned by Ingrid and Helmut is a very nice accommodation for a very reasonable price. It is very clean and comfortable. Everything was done there to ensure an excellent stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home, which is excellently located for day trips out to visit the beautiful Romantic Rhine area, whilst Bacharach itself is extremely charming also. The information provided by Ingrid and Helmut on local places to visit was exceptional, even providing advice on a lovely outdoor swimming pool to visit, which was daughter's wish for an excursion on her birthday during our stay there. The apartment was really comfortable, and we were made to feel very welcome by the Kachel family. We would love to return one day to experience the 'Rhine in Flames' events in the Summer, which looks fantastic.

We were very comfortable at Fewo Kachel. Everything was clean and well equipped. But what made the trip work really well was that this wasn't just a good facility for a self- catering holiday. Ingrid anticipates what here guests need, providing a shuttle service from Frankfurt Hahn, and the the local train stationh, beer and local wines for sales on sight, a secret garden by the river for quiet moments outside and even helped us with our first food shopping trip, knowing we would arrive too late for local restaurants. It made venturing to a knew place very easy and enjoyable, for us while the kids always felt welcome.

I can't say enough about this treasure. Ingrid and Helmut were very gracious hosts, They told us a lot about the area and gave us some good tips. The apartment was spacious for the 4 of us. Kitchen was great, big enough for two people to cook dinner. The bedrooms were large and the beds were very comfortable. The apartment is just up the hill from town and has some nice walking trails close by. We spent 3 months traveling around Europe, this apartment was one of the nicest we stayed in. It was very, very clean....something that is very important to me. Don't let the low price fool you this apartment is so much more....it is a home away from home. Would go back tomorrow if I could.
