This lovely cafe, with sweeping views over Chora town and the interior of Naxos, is in the old Ursuline Girls school. We had coffee etc there after the archaeological museum. A little more expensive but worth every euro for the views and the lovely feel of the place.

This place was recommended by a local. After ambling through he archaeological museum we decided to try it out. The views of Naxos town were majestic. The place was clean and modern. Coffee was great and so was the traditional greek sweet and juice we had. The vibe was positive ad relaxing and the staff great.

Fantastic views out over Naxos town and to the sea from the 1739 café and from the viewing platform beside it (for which you don't need to visit the café). It's near the top of the Kastro or oldest part of Naxos town but there's an elevator for those not keen on a lot of stairs. The staff are friendly and helpful, the music is gentle and mainly Greek, the tea, coffee and other drinks are really good, the lemon meringue cake was a little too sweet but that's a matter of taste. It's great to get a bottle of tap water in a proper glass bottle instead of in wasteful and nasty plastic, and the prices are really good for such a venue.

The design shop below the cafe is well worth a visit too - it has very high standard pottery and gifts of all sorts - far better than in most of the touristy souvenir shops, and still with reasonable prices.

Friendly staff lovely setting high above the town beautiful all day and night but particularly at sunset. Very clean amenities. Cold tap water supplied in a lovely bottle with the cafes logo printed on it. Coffee great and the lemon tart mmmmm. Highly recommended. Lift from lower level opens up onto the large viewing platform. No stairs required. Well worth the walk up.

We came across this place by accident and stopped for morning coffee but I'd recommend a special trip here. The drinks were good and came with cold water which we needed after our walk. The views are lovely. There's a gift shop there too. Follow the signs for the Archaeological Museum.
