The view from one of the two front rooms is stunning, opening on to the busy seaport across the promenade.
Double glazing ensures peace even when the ferries are at their busiest. The view is breathtaking on flinging open the windows in the morning to the harbour scene.
The proprietor is an artist whose works adorn all walls in the common space. There are also whimsical small art installations in the corridors utilising ' found objects' attesting to his sense of humour although from the works on the wall, that may be tinged with some darkness.
The breakfasts are modest. A croissant and very good coffee made by the proprietor served with good humour and little English.
Cafes, restaurants and high end shopping is close by as is the high speed ferry wharf. The bus station is around the corner for all routes including the circumferential buses circling the island.
The room is sparse and clean, the hot water mostly reliable but one has to rely on the public internet serving the marina for WiFi.....not always available and requiring one to stand close to the open window.
There is no access to the kitchen for hot water after 10.00 am so no tea making is possible.
We had a great time in a great town not detracted from in any way by lodgings

This is a great little B&B right on the harbour a short walk from the ferries. If you don't mind a little noise from the activity in the port then this is the place with lots of bars and restaurants in the area, also a small shop underneath for anything you may need. The room we had overlooked the harbour and was clean and spacious with a good sized bathroom.

If you want to get soaked up by the authentic seaside charm of Ischia then this is the only place to stay.As a family of three we were amply spoilt by the location as this B&B is directly opposite the port with views of fishing boats, lapping water and panoramic coastal scenery. The B&B is above a little grocery store for anything you may need. It is only a few minute's stroll from the ferries and a further few minutes from the main fare of shops and eateries. Our room was spacious, comfortable and spotless and our host is a charming and quiet gentleman The walk along the beach front to visit the Aragon castle is relaxing and the Castle is breathtaking in history and views. We are well seasoned travellers after migrating from Melbourne Australia to become locals of North Wales and only take the time to review if truly special. Lucanda sul Mar is a truly special B&B - you can't go wrong !

Room Tip: Request the room with a view- it is STUNNING

If you get one of the two rooms overlooking the harbour (and accepting a bit of early morning anchor-dropping noise) this is excellent. Location superb, rooms clean, light and spacious.

Breakfast is simple, but adequate and the resident owner friendly.

Recommended.

If you're looking for a simple and cheap B&B very close to the Ischia Harbor, you found a good one here. Clean, wide rooms with private bathroom, nice view on the Harbor. Staff is kind and sociable. Breakfast right and simple, all in line with economic expectations.
