Me, my husband and my 7 mnths baby stayed in one of the trullo .The stay was comfortable for us . The trullo given to us was just behind the the cathedral n in a residencial area. The room was spacious with dining ,living n small kitchen..The bathroom was very small but clean. We stayed for 2 nights.Alberobello is expensive compared to other places in puglia. Staff was excellent . They have arranged for taxi to the grotto and also for our trip to lecce.

The breakfast was served in a restaurant which was quite far from our trullo. Thus i would recommend to stay in trulli zone which is more beautiful than the duomo area. Breakfast was good with variety but eggs dishes was quite cold. We didnt use the breakfast for the 2nd day coz of the distance.

Room Tip: stay in the trulli zone

Wonderful experience staying in our own Trullo which to our surprise enabled self catering. well equipped and very comfortable. Within the Trulli village very close to all amenities. Management were very professional and helpful. I would highly recommend this experience.

Room Tip: Trullis are individual units are spread around the town.

My wife & I spent one night in a Trulli Holiday unit in mid-October 2011. What a great adventure! And most reasonable price. We had heard of Alberobello on TV and had to see it for ourselves. I recommend the city and the accommodations to all. We want to get back. The highlight of our 2 1/2 weeks in Italy from the Swiss border to this wonderful village.

Room Tip: We rented the smallest arrangement, and it was fine.

Alberobello was a very special place in Puglia. Staying in a Trulli house with Residence Trulli Holiday was the way to go! We did not have reservations and just pulled into town and found the office. The staff was friendly, spoke English and was more than happy to accommodate us for two nights. They even switched a room for one of our family members who needed a slightly bigger room at no extra cost. Breakfast was provided at a local restaurant, La Locanda, and we were treated to breads, jams, eggs, meats and many special local items to taste. We even had dinner there the first night. The staff was very friendly and the perfect hosts. The Trulli we stayed in was #3 and was clean and nicely furnished in character with the structure. Reception was willing to go to extremes to help us, even retrieving my cousin’s handmade washcloth that had gotten mixed in with the daily laundry by accident. That is real service! If you want to have an incredible stay in a Trulli house, we highly recommend using the Trulli Holiday reservation group and enjoying the hospitality that Alberobello has to offer!

First of all, one small explanation: Trulli Holiday has two kinds of trulli accommodation - firstly trullis in the city of Alberobello itself, secondly Trulli residence, which is a group of trulli and non-trulli buildings some 1 km from Alberobello center. I believe the reviews are mixed here. Breakfast is for both types served in inn in the center, so it is quite far from residence (we did not take it, so I can't comment it more).
We have chosen the residence outside center and it was really great. Our trulli room was quite small with no kitchenette, but both these facts were properly announced before so no surprise for us (they have different kinds of room as well). On the other side, it was absolutely clean and the feeling of staying in one of those buildings was amazing.
Residence has very beautiful garden and small swimming pool (cap is required), all very tranquil and relaxing - for us much better than staying directly in town with the door opened to the street.
It is possible to go to the town on foot, but there are also bicycles free to use so it is quite easy to get there (a bit uphill on the way back). Contrary to the city trullis, there is parking space in the residence (in the area, so behind the gate).
The owner is very enthusiastic and friendly, so we felt nearly as at home.
So, only small minuses are the location of breakfast in restaurant La Locanda don Antonio (we didn't try a dinner there as it was full and reservation was needed in advance) and even reception in the city center (it was impossible to park before the reception).

Room Tip: Ask directly the owners and they provide you the photos of the proposed room.

The place and surroundings are beautiful. Location is great with a number of places to visit within 40min. The towns areound are beautiful. The pool area is very nice and tranquillity all day long even though there are other people in the resort.

One thing i would improve in the trulli (even though not of exrtreme importance) is the TV, it is quite outdated and today 22'' flat screens do not cost much .....otherwise perfect

What a wonderful experience… very romantic but would be great family history learning too.... It is said that they built the Trulli Without mortar so that they could disassemble them quickly when the tax man came by… cleaver!!! We stayed in the smallest unit for 1 night wish we would have stayed 2 nights… a beautiful town with much to see and great spot to soak up the Italian culture… the people were great… wonderful butcher shop in town that sold the best salami I have ever eaten in small sticks…. Home made of course… great value for money staying here… don’t miss dinner at La Locanda don Antonio the lamb was outstanding and the wine… unbelievable… very romantic town…. There was a market the day we checked out it was a great little market with wonderful people watching…
