I've Stayed at this hotel 3 times now and it's an ok hotel, 3 stars which i liken to a travel lodge standard in the UK, the rooms are comfortable and the hotel is modern plenty of parking but be aware it's in the port so if you want to get to the centre of town you have to walk up about two hundred steps, ok if your fit but could be a bit of a struggle for someone who is elderly, there are plenty of restaurants around the hotel along with a few buildings that look a bit derelict, breakfast is a bit hit and miss as first day i was there all that was put out were a couple of croissants and cereal / bread the following day there was an array of pastries, internet is free and good,

I spent the last 3 days in the Melqart. The room was superb with a lovely balcony and was serviced excellently everyday. Daniella who checked me in and out was very knowledgeable and helpful and every other member of staff I met was very friendly and polite. All in all an excellent stay thank you so much.

In an odd location, steps from the water but in a somewhat industrial fishing area at least 10 minutes walk uphill to the center of the city. A good trattoria very nearby. Modern 3 star hotel, some electrical problems. Pleasant, helpful staff. Free, ample parking (this may be the number one reason not to stay in the center!).

We stayed here one night to visit Sciacca because it was a city recommended by friends. As an avid traveller of Italy, it is my least favorite, but other than the city, the hotel was the highlight. My girlfriend and I stayed for a night and came by car. Plenty of parking in front and in back of hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful always. The room was comfortable and had very good AC. The free breakfast buffet had all the essentiels other hotels in Italy have, so it was good.

If you are planning a trip to Sciacca, i recommend this hotel due to ita hospitality and locatiom from marina and main piazza!

Lovely hotel very near to the sea. Very well run and friendly staff. Good breakfast included with room price. Rooms are clean, adequately sized, and everything was in working order; only had to ask for additional soap/shampoo at the front desk. All breakfast items tasted fresh, and dining area is nicely maintained. Bit of a hike up stairs or streets to the main area, but like this as it's away from the central area, and several nearby restaurants -- give Italia Ristorante a try!
