Due to time limitations in Florence, we were unable to check out Nerbone in the Mercato Centrale. We consoled ourselves because of Nerbone di Greve. It's a little confusing to find because the sign over the door says "La Terrazza oli Osteria but we were assured that we were indeed at Nerbone! We had checked the reviews on Trip Advisor before going and thought the comments were not that good so perhaps not but then thought "why not go." It was a nice warm afternoon so the upstairs outdoor patio was just the thing! We had a nice bottle of rose and shared a very tasty antipasti of salami, and marinated veggies. Our second courses of linguine with crab and asparagus and penne with fresh artichokes and gorgonzola dolce were excellent...to finish, shared fresh strawberries and a cup of mascarpone crème with mosto cotto, meant to be eaten separately, we couldn't help but have the two together, wonderful! The pace is meant to be leisurely and not designed for quick dining and the service reflects this philosophy. We would highly recommend La Terrazza/Nerbone from this experience.
