Owner description: Visitors to this romantic estate have agreed the trip was well worth it: the family is warm and hospitable, the grounds are ruggedly romantic and the wines are impressive.

We followed the winery's website directions to take the SITA bus from Florence. Perfect!
The walk to the winery from the bus stop is mostly up hill but enjoyable in early April (portions are in the shade) if you relax, pace yourself and enjoy the scenery during the walk.
We were greeted by Simon, who made sure we were comfortable while we waited for our tour to begin.
Simon conducted our tour. We had a total of seven people in our group. He was informative and displayed an engaging sense of humor
Our tour was the Chianti Tradition. The wine and food were ample and delicious. The opened bottles of the wines we tasted were left on the table for us to finish at our own pace, followed by Vin Santo with biscotti, Grappa and an espresso. Highly recommended! A wonderful day and a nice value, too.

Stayed in the agritourismo at the winery and loved it. Guests of the agritourismo get a fantastic discount on all wine and tours. Not to mention there is a great breakfast up near the castle that is included. This place has the attention to detail that a lot of places in Italy are lacking. Roberta is the lady at the bottom of the hill. She will make sure you are well 'hydrated' and well fed, not to mention passing on those fantastic discounts! Ciao!

We toured the winery with Geno. He was the best tour guide: funny, informative and charming. The food and wine pairing was fantastic. The food was delicious, fresh and plentiful. The wine was great and we all ended up purchasing several bottles. I highly recommend this winery if you want a great wine and food experience in Tuscany.

My daughter and I wanted to go to a winery while I was in Florence. Her professor arranged for us to take a city bus from Florence out to Greve and partake in a Thanksgiving meal while we were out there. It was the most amazing experience. it was the first time that we adventured out on our own and figured out how to take a city bus to go to an attraction. It was very easy. We got on the bus for an hour and drove through beautiful country. It was very hilly and windy. I do not recommend trying to take pictures. i took alot of duds. Anyway, we got off at Greve and used the cell phone to call the winery to come pick us up.It would have been a nice 2 mile hike, but we had to be there by noon.
The winery was beautiful. The views were amazing. The tour was great of the wine stock. They also make proscuitto, olive oil and balsamic vinegrette which tasted amazing. wished i could have bought the vinigrette but the tour and dinner were pricey but well worth it. The Dinner and wine tasting was exquisite. We sat with an extended family from Conn. Fun was had by all and there was way too much food. Not the traditional thanksgiving fare, but oh so good.
