Went for the day with the family. We all had a great day out, reasonable prices and the wristband idea of paying for everything worked well. Some big queues,up to an hour but it was August. The only criticism was the toilets, hole in the ground aim and hope, good lady wife not impressed.

A really great water park for older kids (mine aged 10 and 13). Everyone gets a wrist band when you go in which you use instead of cash then pay the balance when you leave which is handy for getting snacks and drinks etc without needing to carry cash. Get an umbrella when you arrive so you parents can chill out on sunbeds and let the kids run around and tire themselves out! It’s not cheap but for a days peace it was worth it :) many hotels sell the tickets as a discounted price so check with yours. Water slides get very busy and have long queues so make sure you’ve got plenty of waterproof sunscreen on.

Park was clean and tidy . Not enough toilets as had to walk back to entrance if needed. Not enough sun beds for all - so those that got in first got all the beds . We spent the day on grass which was ok but limited shade. We arrived early too . The queuing to get inside was chaotic and not well organised at dllZ only the security guys seemed to be directing people to with/ without ticket queue. Then each queue split again over the doorway so more chaos as people then had to fight against current if people standing waiting to join. The time taken per family to sort the wristbands was madness considering we already had bought our tickets . Any purchases get charged to your wristband and so u pay on exist. Easy for kids to therefore run up a bill . Don’t leave it till park closure time to go as another queue to exit the park and pay for any purchasing and return wrstbands. Easy to get to on bus route. Worth a day out but expensive for what was there. My teens weren’t too fussed on the rides and hated the long queues in hot sunshine. They saw people passing out while waiting . Put them off going on rides a second time. We did choose a busy week though so just be prepared. Bonus is you can take your own cool boxes and food in.

Great day out but in order to get loungers in high season, you need to go for 9 ( with pre booked tickets ). You can do this on line and print- much shorter queue then head STRAIGHTAWAY to sunbed rentals by the galleon- you can always rent a locker later! ( Think January sales)
Only way I had a problem was trying to book 4 loungers - only able to do one set of two per wristband. They show you a map and you have to make snap decision - if have children under 8 - loungers 6 and 7 ( kids lagoon) brilliant as shaded and can relax watching children- hope this helps as I found really confusing beforehand - have 3 older grumpy teens as well so chose loungers by laguna’ d’oro- full sun

Hopefully help others - beware kids under 2.4 m get 30 euros credit and anyone larger 70- which meant my lovely family could have spent £380 euros Would make Alton Towers very cheap day out- all given ultimatums.

This is our second time- first time bought food - bill came to £150! This time took lunch and drinks- froze 2 bottles of water - brilliant advice from someone else on here- kept food cool.

Spent about £50 this time, but this was because monitored closely - lovely double lounger with safe was 8 euros, lockers
