Located in the heart of Historic Freemason neighborhood this is a dining gem. Go to see this restored carriage house and enjoy dinner too. Wait staff is always friendly and attentive. Daily specials are great options. Menu offers variety. And if it’s too hard to decide go for one of the burgers. Last night enjoyed two of my favorites - potato chip crusted flounder with potatoes and vegetables. Other dish - paella. Tasty rice and full of chicken mussels clams shrimp and fish-yum! Shared a sliced on peanut butter pie. Great wine list too.

Always classy, with tasty imaginative dishes, warm settings, experienced wait staff, artful food presentations, and a bit expensive. Vegetables can be amazingly delicious. Crab cakes are good but not the best in town. Desserts are excellent. Salads are exotic with a wide range of healthful ingredients.

Parking can be difficult but we have always managed without parking on the street. Still it may be the worst part of the experience yet has never been a problem on any of my visits.

We dropped in for a happy hour drink, so we can’t judge the food; but the cosy little restaurant and friendly staff, the good wine and the perfect Mini Martini (wine and drink together 9$) pleased us very much.

First time I have been to Omar's Carriage House restaurant in the historic Freemason area of Norfolk. The staff was friendly and seated us upstairs as we were a large group. The food was plentiful and excellent. Really enjoyed the visit and plan to return for dinner. If you are in the area give it a try, you will not regret it and by the way, make sure you try desert, excellent!

Very good. Order an appetizer or two. We got brie, and Bastilla. For the main course we had Moroccan chicken, veal, and salad.

Order dessert. We had coffee with the lemon coconut cake. The coffee is a special blend, with nuts and chocolate. The cake was huge.
