While staying in Sitio de Calahonda, we ended up booking 2 Safari tours— one to Ronda and one to Andalucía.

The Andalucía trip gave us AMAZING scenes of the mountains and culture of Spain. It felt like a behind the scenes tour, away from all the touristy areas. In addition, the lunch we had at the roadside cafe was phenomenal! (Like 5 courses!!) Steve was so informative about all the plants and trees and topography! Highly recommend!

The trip to Ronda was a totally different experience! You still have an amazing scenic route drive but it’s less informative about the culture, plants, etc. of Spain. When you arrive in Ronda you get 3 hours to explore and it was INCREDIBLE! The pictures don’t do this city justice. Ronda has been one of our highlights of our trip!!

Definitely recommend this tour!! So much fun!!

We are on a family holiday in Fuengirola and wanted to do a daytrip to see Gibraltar. I found Ranges Safari on TripAdviser and emailed to enquire. Really great communication- Jayne emailed me with all the details and our driver, Graham called the day before to confirm meeting point etc.

We are a family of 6- 2 adults, 2 teens and 2 under 5s. We paid €58 for adults and €48 for children. €100 deposit by PayPal and the rest in cash on the day to the driver.

Graham is a fantastic bloke! He was super patient, helpful and informative. He was very relaxed and accommodating with the little ones and they loved him!

Graham collected us from our apartment at 8:15- there were 2 booster seats already in place for the kids. We stopped for coffee in the morning (coffee is paid for), drove to the border and had 3 hours to spend in Gib, then stopped for an hour at Puerto Banus Banus on the way home. Graham dropped us home around 5:45.

It was a great day, very good value for money and highly recommended!

We felt that 3 hours in Gib was enough. We took the taxi tour and saw St Michael's Caves, the Great Seige Tunnels, top of The rock for the Barbary Apes, duty free shopping on Main Street and lunch/refreshments.

What a day! We've been visiting the Costa del Sol for 10 years but this is the first time we've ventured into the mountains of the Sierra Nevada. I'm so pleased that we did. Thank you Josie for an awesome adventure. The countryside was beautiful with an unexpected abundance of spring flowers filling the air with the scents of warmth. The moment when we stopped for 5 minutes to just quietly listen to the birds, smell the air and feel the sun was unforgettable. And Josie's knowledge of the local flora was impressive. I'll be sure to try some of your suggestions for tea and herbal remedies! This trip came just in time to reignite my passion for Spain. Thank you! Sandra and Mike xx

Hi Sandra and Mike

Thank you for posting a lovely review and so happy Josie helped re ignite your love for Spain!
The wet winter we have had has now produced a very lush landscape and as you quite rightly say, the flowers in abundance look and smell amazing.

I do hope we see you again in the future

Best

Kerrie
