Reviewed 7 September 2011

Myself and 5 friends stayed at the Cala Millor Park September 2010 and loved it so much we went back this September. The hotels location means its just a short stroll to the beach with local shops nearby. It was just as we remembered with friendly, helpful staff; hotel always kept clean; again we had a lovely sea-view room. THE FOOD - excellent. Such an overwhelming choice - breakfast... full english or continental still with loads of choice; toast, croissants & pastries; Main meals, always fresh fish; pasta dishes; lamb, pork, chicken; turkey; paella; wonderful salads with scrummy prawns, tuna, salmon. Its mainly a families hotel but we still had a wonderful time......

Wow what a great 2 weeks we had here ,went as 2 familys of 3 and had a 1 bedroom apartment each with fantastic sea views .
From the moment we arrived ,everything was amazing from the staff on the front desk ,the bar staff the chefs ,maids and groundsman ..they work to make your holiday the best..
The food was amazing ,if you dont find anything you like i would say you are to fussy ,fresh fish and meat every night ,a roast cooked to perfection fresh fruit and salad ,and the puddings were to die for ,one of the best cheese cakes i have ever tasted .
The entertainment team worked there socks off day and night keeping everybody happy .
We were AI but the kitchen had everything you could need ,and a hairdryer in the bathroom ,the tv only had limited english channels but we dont go away to watch tv so this was not a problem for us .
We have been to cala millor a few times now and this is one of the best hotels we have stayed in by far , we were told they will not be open till june next year as they are finishing the renovations over the winter months ....we will have to go back then to see the finished product ,im sure it will be a 5 * when its finished .
We were fortunate to meet the hotel manager why we were there ,and would just like to say what a lovely man he is ,he has your holiday at the top of his agenda and is always at hand to make it better if he can .
Anyone going will have a fantastic time we are all sad that it had to come to an end :(

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view ,the best sunrise in majorca

We stayed at this hotel for the first time having read the favourable reviews, and we were not disappointed. Went as two families both with two teenagers and stayed in the main block in an apartment overlooking the sea, which was about 200 metres away. The room was spotless and large enough for our teenage children, it was air conditioned and had a hair dryer. Informed that these rooms will refurbished over the winter along with another block. There are 3 blocks within the complex. I did see the one block that had been completed and the rooms were excellent with flat screen tvs, leather chairs and walk in shower. Also the hotel will be upgraded to 4 stars in 2012.
The pool area was large enough for the complex and sunbeds were plentiful. We were on an all inculsive package and the bar staff were friendly and there wasnt a long wait for drinks. You had plastic cups if you drank around the pool and glasses if you stayed within the bar area, San Miguel on tap lovely and it wasn't watered down. The food in the restaurant was the best food i have had in all the hotels i have stayed in, plenty of choice with show cooking, varied every day and we stayed for two weeks. The drinks were served to you and even when it was busy you soon got served by the friendly smiling restaurant staff. The animacion team worked really hard to entertain children and adults throughout the day and night and were very good. The nightly shows some were by professional acts the rest were done by the animacion staff. Although not to West End standard they worked really hard and i was impressed by the effort they put into the shows, well done.
You could hire towels at reception for a 15 euro returnable deposit for each towel hired and change them when you wanted. There was a indoor spa pool which looked very nice but we never used, the weather was to nice to go inside.
The hotel is predominately German guests, but i enjoyed the mixture of different nations and cultures. The beach is two minutes away and was very good, the town of Cala Millor was also very nice.
We have stayed in a number of all inclusive hotels over the last ten years in Majorca, and i can say hand on heart that this is the best one we have stayed in, the staff are a credit, the location is great, the hotel spotless and it was value for money. A superb family friendly hotel.

We arrived at the cala millor park at 9.45pm on the 14th August, walked up to the Reception only to be told that we had no room, we had 2 young children and stood and could not believe that the hotel had no room for us, they were full, thats what they do overbook you and move you hoping you will not moan, but I said we booked here, why have you no room?, there was no room available we were told. This happens alot in peak season even a taxi driver told me,we had to go to the Bahia Grande in a taxi just down the road, so we could not unpack, my daughter was crying, it was such a shame, I dont blame the hotel manager as he was a really nice man, when we met him the next morning, I asked him for a refund £170 for 1 night we got 68 euros and a room with a sea view, but i would have rather had a room that night, shame on you hipotels, you put the employees in this situation, the staff are very nice, nice pool, good food, but you have to make comments like this so it does not happen to other people, you work all year for a holiday and hipotels let us down, not the hotel staff.

Room Tip: phone the hotel first in peak time

We're just back from a 10 night stay. Two adults and two girls 8 and 10. The hotel was lovely and clean and the staff were welcoming. Our room had a fantastic sea view however lacked air conditioning therefore we had to leave balcony open for through draught, resulting in noise until about 1 am. We were all-inclusive and cannot fault the food and drink apart from the choice being limited and similar each night. The evening entertainment was good however most nights it was provided by the animacion team miming to a soundtrack from a stage show. The speed of the waiter service at night depended on who was looking after your table. Jesus was fast, friendly although quiet. Dada was slow and at times ignored you when you tried to get his attention and one night we waited for over 30 minutes with empty glasses, even though we were all-inclusive. The pool area was great and the girls loved spending their days there. We stayed at the hotel 2 years ago and found the choice better.

Stayed here with my husband and 2 children in August 2010. On arrival we had to have 2 separate rooms for a couple of nights as our apartment wasn't available, which wasn't a great start. One of the rooms unfortunately smelt strongly of chips which came from the vents, so all of the clothes etc had to be kept in the other room which was on the other side of the building.

When we finally moved into our room, it was a large one bedroomed apartment, with a sea view, unfortunately not refurbished (which looked gorgeous) but spotlessly clean and more than adequate for the little amount of time spent in there.

The pool area is brilliant, and was refurbished during the close season, a lovely large pool together with a smaller round one for the little ones to play in.

We stayed All Inclusive. The quality of the food was outstanding, a massive choice of every food imaginable. Lots of fresh fish, whole salmon, roasted sea bass, salads, various fresh meats cooked to order. There was something for everyone. The same variety was prepared for lunch also but everything was fresh and hot and you didnt get reheated left overs in the evening.

The staff were helpful and very professional and worked extremely hard between the restaurant and bar. The entertainment staff worked equally as hard.

Snacks are available from the pool bar throughout the day. Only sandwiches, toasties, cakes and ice creams but with the amount of food available at meal times it's all thats really needed.

Would we return, DEFINATELY.

Room Tip: As for a refurbished room

Stayed here as a family end of May, beginning of June 2011. 1st impressions upon arrival at the hotel are excellent - it is very clean and modern and extremely welcoming. The staff are very good and helpful. It is true that the majority of the holiday makers at this hotel are German, and that some of the staff's English is not brilliant (but certainly better than my Spanish !) but we never had any problems getting over what we wanted.
The apartment was clean and spacious and had a sea view, the service in the Restaurant is excellent, we tended to eat early because of the kids, and so there was no queing at all, I did notice that at peak periods some people were having to wait for a short while.

The food itself is brilliant, loads of choice, freshly cooked and excellent quality.

Overall the Hotel is really good - the pool and pool bar are great and the evening entertainment team work really hard, also the waiters from the bar are very quick, it's almost impossible to not have a drink in front of you, and we were all inclusive, so it wasn't for the money.

One very minor quibble, despite the fact we were all inclusive the bar staff couldn't supply us bottled water - so we had to buy it from the Spa round the corner, not a major problems because it only costs a few euros, but a bit silly when absolutely everything else is spot on.

We would definitely consider going back, because Cala Millor is a very nice resort, with a great beach, the weather was not great during our stay, but you can't blame the hotel for that !!
