“November trip”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 November 2011

A perfectly nice budget hotel. We stayed in mid November. Much of the resort is closed, but just about enough coffee bars and restaurants open for a short break. The hotel is clean, well run and only 5 mins from the sea front. As noted previously, the main clientele is older German folk who were quite pleasant. They tended to congregate in the lounge with their board games during the day - quite sweet. The default language for menus / staff is German because of this, and we were the only English speaking (and vegetarian!) guests there. No problems. Food is all buffet style, lots of salad stuffs - iceberg lettuce, beetroot, sweetcorn, grated carrot also a soup of the day with rolls, and 2 meat based mains (a white fish and a lamb one evening, and chicken another evening) and a vegetarian main each evening - a pepper tart on one and marrow stuffed with cheese and spinach on another. Assorted hot veg and potatoes in one form or another. Desserts were German style cake, fresh fruit and icecream. Nothing fancy, but basic healthy food.
Breakfast offered cereals, fresh and dried fruits, walnuts, many different breads (including rye for the Germans of course) croissants, cheese, yoghurt, and a hot buffet of meat products such as bacon, sausage, and scrambled egg (unfortunately for us vegetarians with bits of ham through it- but such is the way in Spain). You certainly won't starve.
The rooms are a little dated, but well cleaned. Our shower was an old fashioned small head pastic one, didn't look much but the water pressure was incredible.
There is a nice big swimming pool outside, but it wasn't warm enough in mid Nov to try it. It was tee shirt and jeans weather during the day, but cold enough for a jumper and coat at night. It's in a good position for nice walks along the coast, go straight down to the sea front and turn right. The capitol Palma is worth a day trip, lovely old town.
If you haven't got a transfer included in your trip, it may be worth looking into some of the cheap car hire deals from the airport. We found one that was cheaper than a taxi would have been and we got the car for 3 days. It took us one and a quarter hours to drive from the airport to the hotel. A great trip.

I've been visiting this hotel for about 5 years. Always at this time of year when the resort is just starting to wind down after the summer season. Very friendly service and rooms always cleaned to a very high standard. Rooms are being updated every visit with recent additions of a hair dryer in the bathroom and a clothes drying rack on the balcony. Food is buffet style with a good selection and vegetarians should find something to eat. Most of the guests are German and this is the default language, however all staff speak good English. An early breakfast was easy to arrange on the final morning. There is some secure storage for bicycles, which I used, but larger groups (6+) would have to make special arrangements. Hotel bar prices were very good value and the outside lounge area for smokers was a very pleasant space to enjoy a hot drink after breakfast.

Stayed mid October and was a bit unsure having read one or two negative reviews, but needn.t have worried. True both hotel and resort are predominently German, but plenty of info is in English, and the friendly hotel staff spoke and understood English. English language Tourist information was available in my room and at reception.I rather enjoyed being an individual as the only British guest. Hotel was spotless, food was excellent, and had a very nice twin room to myself. The resort is great, and I can't wait to go back. Value for Money was superb.

You will always feel very welcome at this family hotel, headed by Mr Tony, his wife and their experienced team. The hotel facilities are very well working, nice food, good service and the bar is the natural get to getter place for a pre-dinner drink or just to sit and relax after a day on the beach. The team will do their best to make you feel comfortable at any time. Still you will always have the privacy you need or you can mingle with the team, always open for good talks and of course jokes. The 3 beach can easily be reached from this central location, same goes for all the restaurants, nightlife whatever you are looking for. At this hotel you will always feel peace and harmony, what more do you need to feel relaxed on your holidays.
Best recommendations from the Berger Family, we have been here 4 times and will definitely come back.

I stayed here with my son this week. It was full of twenty plus german youth who bagged on our door shouted all night woke us up at 2am 4am and 5am. The staff where indifferent. T
The Germans dictate this hotel as nothing was in English and I was made to feel very uncomfortable. The beds should be in a skip they were so old. This Hotel is in the middle of a disco district so SO NOT suitable for young families. 3 star it is not I worked a as rep for many years and would rate this a 1 star Hostal. TV didn't work, pillows and beds dire. Food awful . The breakfast bread was as hard a s a rock. The German kids were throwing beer cans out of their balconies when they were drunk and the Hotel staff did nothing. Absolutely awful. In my 40 years of travel this was the worst.

Room Tip: Don't go here

Good value for money.Hotel is not too big with a very friendly, chilled out atmosphere. It has got a very nice pool&bar. Good choice of food during breakfast but terrible coffee from the machine.Luckily plenty of coffee bars in the area.Rooms/balconies are quite small but very clean with a cleaning lady coming everyday.the only thing we found a little bit annoying is that you have to pay to rent a fridge in a room (2euros per day),a fridge that hardly works nota bene.please remember to get a spare key-card if you want your fridge to be running when you are not there-you will need to leave the card-key in the electricity socket-unfortunately noone mentioned that but we discovered on our own.all in all hotel is a nice place for a short stay.and the location is brilliant,2min walk to all the shops, restaurants, seafront, port and bars.everything is a walking distance away.Cala Ratjada is by far my favourite place in Mallorca.Dominated by German tourist but because of that there is an excellent choice of high quality restaurants-lots of great places serving delicious fresh seafood and fish.Unlike the West coast, Cala Ratjada is not dominated by British drunken youngsters.Strongly recommend the area and the hotel for a relaxing&romantic getaway.

Room Tip: Pool view with balcony

I travelled alone to majorca with my teenage daughter and stayed at amoros hotel for only a few nights but would definately recommend it to others.
At 3am in the morning after a very long transfer (our driver got lost) we arrived at Amoros to be greeted by the night porter (Felix) who was very welcoming, friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.
The hotel is well situated and in walking distance of harbour, beach and town. Their was a variety of family resturants and bars over looking the harbour. And further back in the town, their are bars and clubs to accomidate younger holiday makers. Their was a couple of beaches and coves that were clean and well maintained with food and drink shacks.
I would not hestiate to recommend this hotel to anybody as we very much enjoyed our stay at Amoros, although next time i may consider bed and breakfast instead of half board as the variety of food in the hotel is limited and there are lots of tempting resturants along the harbour.

Room Tip: Would recommend pool view rooms
