I stayed here with my husband for 11 night, and we didn't want to leave. everything about the complex was great. The rooms where basic but very clean we had clean towels every day and the maids mopped the floors and cleaned the bathroom, made beds every day except Friday and Sunday. We did experience one night a case of ants( very small sand ants ) running up the wall in the bedroom and some in the bed. But we just pulled the bed away from the wall and it solved the problem. We hired a fan from reception which was about 25euro i think. On our arrival we went to reception to ask if we could have more pillows on the way to explore the pool. on our return 15 mins later the pillows where on our bed. We also told the hotel when we booked that it was our wedding anniversary whilst on holiday and they had left us a bottle of wine and two glasses in the kitchen which we thought was lovely. The pool area was very clean. most early mornings you would see maintenance men cleaning or painting to freshen the white walls or blue walk way, or removing the dead leaves from the trees and empting the bins. You often saw the manager walking around. Think they had a inspection whilst we was there as he appeared one day with several men in suits looking around. At first we thought that's why the place looked so clean but the next day it continued and we did realise that it was just routine to keep the place looking good .
The policing of the towels on the sunbeds of a morning was also entertaining as they would remove them if no one was with them. No need to save beds as we always got one. Pool was cold but refreshing. I would suggest bringing goggles as it is salt water. There was a sports entertainer who asked every morning if people wanted to do stretching or play water polo etc. The families with kids seemed to love him. We noticed he worked really hard as he would be working in the dinner in the morning and evenings waiting tables and serving.
The pool bar was ran by Danny, Lydia and Christina. They are such nice people always friendly. They made our holiday with out a doubt. 6euro for a very big breakfast. We didn't use the dinner so can not comment as we went out every evening. The Harbour is about 15 minutes walk of 2.50 euro for a taxi into town. I would suggest fado rock and Waikiki for both food and drinks ( see my other reviews) all in all we had a fantastic time and will be coming back.

Stayed at the hotel in June,We were Self Catering,The rooms were nice, excellent shower! Kitchenette basic, bed was comfy, was at the back so there was noise from main road, but didn’t cause much disterbance,
Young staff on reception were friendly enough , altho they didnt always look up and acknowledge you.
Room was nice and clean altho one day there was pigeon muck on the floor of the balcony which was still there few days later.
Nice walk from hotel to harbour/ town, now maybe it was just me but if i was on my own i wouldn’t have taken the shortcut down back streets, not lit enough.
Nice pool bar food was reasonable, Danny always cheerful, man with guitar played a few times in the week,Only had one drink in the bar in the hotel, strange setoutbwith locals.
Good supermarket onsite , although bigger supermarkets in town.
If you are looking for somewhere nice and quiet, great hotel

sadly not as good as our first visit. was so looking forward to this holiday, myself my mum and my baby visited. all the family came last November and it was amazing. this time the place just feels different. definitely not family friendly any more. all the staff still 5* the bar great the shop great, we even had breakfast in the restaurant and that was great. it was just the life guard that spoilt it for us. I understand if there is a rule for no lilos or floats for children in the pool, it's just the was he went about it. mostly the life guard was on his phone, or looking for children to shout at. he even tried taking a baby float off a 6 month old baby. thankfully the father got the manager and he let the baby keep this. I'm due to come back in October for the holidays with 3 other children. I'm already thinking of changing to somewhere els. this is such a shame as it's one of the best self catering places iv stayed. just very wary of the life guard he wasn't very good at customer service, in fact very rude. he's let this place down massively x

Staying here just now very nice staff very nice hotel and only 10 minute walk for the pubs and restaurants. There is 2 draw backs however one being ants in your apartment although we don't really mind them we had to throw out food sweets and crisps which we bought for our daughter the other issue is the pool absolutely freezing cold and salt water which is not good. Would recommend the water park it is great.

Firstly we would like to thank you for choosing Hesperia Bristol Playa hotel for your Holidays, and to take some of your valuable time to evaluate your stay with us.
On the one hand, we are proud to know that we have met your expectations. The satisfaction of our guests is our main goal.
On the other hand, we would like to apologies for the inconveniences with the ants. A series of pest control takes place every 15-20 days at the hotel, according as in the regulations for hotels in Fuerteventura, but sometimes and unfortunately, due to the climate and garden area, make the presence of insects.

We look forward to welcoming you back to our hotel in the near future.

Just returned from a 10 day stay at this hotel. Initially very upset as given a ground floor accomadation which was not the best as I have asthma and needed to be able to open windows when in room. However following speaking to the deputy manager and the friendly reception staff we were promised a room to 1st floor the next day when accomadation was available.
We were given a room the following lunchtime which was just what we needed. Both accomadations were decorated the same and although basic utensils when do you cook when on holiday? We hired a fan and it was well worth the money, and managed to keep us cool at night. Great shower, water was always hot, and the towels were changed every other day.
Beds comfortable, plenty of storage cupboards, and if your sad like me a laundrette fairly priced to do washing before you go home. On site supermarket which does not charge much more than the supermarkets in town and is well stocked with all essentials required.
Fantastic pool bar run by Danny and Lidia, best breakfast ever 6 euro and sets you up for the day. Also nice snacks throughout day, and again alcohol sold is no more than prices down town. My only complaint is the ignorance of some people who feel it is acceptable to smoke when others are eating come on folks it’s not acceptable in most countries we are all on holiday to enjoy ourselves I’m not saying don’t smoke but think of others none of the rooms were smoking and people were quite happy to go onto balcony?
The pool area was clean and well maintained, pools were quite cold but if you jumped in was very pleasant when got over the initial shock. Well done to the hotel management and pool guys a pleasant change to see the removal of towels that had been on loungers for 45 minutes or more it was the best entertainment ever ( especially when the angry recipient returned much later stating they had only been gone minutes. REALLY ?) and by the end of our stay people seemed to have got the message. There was always loungers to sit on and most of the areas had plenty of sun throughout the day.
Can’t comment on the hotel restaurant or bar as we didn’t use. Also can’t comment on pool activities ie stretching and water polo, however we were asked daily by a friendly guy except Tuesday when I believe was a day off. All the children who were holidaying seemed to be suitably entertained by him and followed him like the pied piper ( lovley to see) language was not a problem and great to see kids playing together the old fashioned way.
The town was 5-10 minute walk and many restaurants to choose from also lots of friendly bars with great entertainment..
Thank you to every one who made our holiday so special. We will definitely be back next year. Hopefully we will be lucky to get room 240 again
