If you are looking for a very confortable hotel for your vacances than you find what you want at Hotel Calina. For people loving watersport, the sea is in front of the hotel, You like walking in the beautiful nature to the centre of Cadaques. You like culture: the Dali Museu is next door.
Rooms in the hotel are great as well as the breakfast. You will have everything here. Relax around the big pool or the sea and enjoy it.

Room tip: We had a sunny room above the diningroom, quiet and seaview. They offer studios also.

We were within a short downhill walk of Cadaques, with an easy return uphill by a different route. Driving in Cadaques itself is a bit of a stress. The hotel has a lovely pool, a very good breakfast, and a nice reception area. The staff is very friendly and courteous, and quite tolerant of our rudimentary Spanish (they all spoke English very well.) We also had private, numbered-space parking in a lovely shaded courtyard. Our room was simply a long corridor, with front facing outdoors and back on an enclosed walkway to the reception area in case of bad weather. The room was very comfortable, cool, and equipped with TV, a small fridge, stove, microwave, dishes and utensils, though we did not cook. Shower with good hot water. We ate only breakfast in the hotel, but there was a very good little seafood shack near the beach where we ate good seafood at good prices, thus avoiding the heavily touristed area downtown.

Room tip: We like a ground floor room best, but there are 2 levels, some with nice ocean views. No noise where we were.

This is a beachside hotel and resort. Bring your pool and beach clothes, relax, walk or take an open-air 'Ranger Taxi' into town for shopping, meals or wandering the streets. See Gala & Salvador Dali's fantastic home and gardens - right next door to the hotel. Whether you walk the short distance to one of the beach bbq shacks or go into town to have a fabulous meal at La Compartir (relaxed, unpretentious and very reasonably priced by urban terms), you will be eating the best.
The hotel staff is extremely helpful, welcoming and warm. The rooms are small, but one should not be wasting time in the room anyway! The complementary breakfast is actually very good and presents many options, some of which are very local items a visitor should at least try. The local version of sponge cake is a delicious breakfast option, and the scrambled eggs are, incredibly, not over cooked and somehow are hot. Try adding the option of a sardine paste or anchovie topping, or local tuna or the ever-present jamon. Croissant accompaniments include guava paste, and a smattering of house-made jams and preserves. Ask for a special coffee and they will be happy to prepare it for you. Need cava to wash it down and they will be at the ready. Watch out for the very tame & friendly wild boars walking freely in the neighborhood and make friends with a local fisherman. They are so friendly and welcoming.

Room tip: Ask for a sea view. Isn't that why you are in Cadaques?

Clean, quiet hotel in the lovey town of Cadaques. Large pool with plenty of sun loungers. Our room (21) was a large suite with cooking facilities, although we didn't use them. Nice outdoor area to rear of the room with table/chairs.

The hotel is situated quite a way outside of the village at the top of a long, steep hill. Not a problem for young, fit travellers but may be an issue for older visitors. There is an 'eco taxi' in the town which will pick up/drop off anywhere for EUR 4 per person, and usually arrives within 10-15 minutes of calling...so location isn't really a problem if you don't mind paying EUR 8 per person to get into the town and back.

I had a fabulous three night stay at Hotel Calina. I wish it had of been for longer and I will return. The room was comfortable and pretty. The staff were soooo helpful, they picked me up from the bus station and drove me back there in the early hours of the morning. The food was great but the pool and view were absolutely fabulous - better than the photos. The ambiance of the whole place has a wonderful relaxing holiday feel. The facilities are very well maintained and I always get a deck chair around the pool. This hotel should be rated higher - I think the lower rating is because the restaurant is not open after 8pm and there is no hairdryer or kettle in the rooms - but there are so many other options for food ....

Room tip: I had a mountain view room and it was fine. The hotel is in a quiet location.
