Called in for lunch and waited half an hour on a crowded stairway - surely a health and safety hazard? when seated, and there were plenty of empty tables, just no staff to clear, it was all very offhand and no apology. Then another 10 minutes for someone to take our order. When the food came it was tasty but it's not so good it makes up for the poor organisation of this cafe.

We called in for lunch.
The menu is extensive and I chose the fish platter which had 5 different components with some malted bread and was lovely. Partner chose the tomato and basil soup which was hot and tasty.
My only issues reflect previous reviewers comments in that the service is more akin to what you would get from a volunteer run cafe rather than a high end deli, and it is expensive.
I wouldn’t rush back other than for a special treat

Quick visit for morning coffee.
First time - just to see if it matches the reviews. Excellent friendly service with nice coffee. Only had a sausage bap to eat - lovely but quite expensive. Maybe they need to cut down on the heavy amount of butter though as it’s not healthy.
Main menu is very expensive for what is a tea room above a farm shop but it is Wilmslow !

Visited for lunch, waited over half a hour for a table and then at least another half an hour for any food to arrive. Coffee had been drunk by then. The food as ever was excellent but.... either they don’t care because the car park is always full or the management need to look at their staff training and numbers. They leave tables empty and not cleared almost as if it’s a way of giving themselves a bit of respite. Simply good enough. Other farm shops do it better.
