This restaurant has the full range of classic Italian dishes. Five of us ate there and every single dish was very good. A special mention must go to the seafood based pasta dishes which were exceptional.

Top tip - They also have a mid-week special, which we missed. This gives you and pizza, pasta or risotto dish for £7.95 - great value.

Visited Saturday 3 March with my wife. It's very convenient as we live a 10 minute walk away. Not been for a long time but internally little has changed and probably could do with a facelift. Arrived on time but table was not ready so had to wait 15 mins - not really a problem, it was very busy and because it has a solid floor, ceiling and walls (no sound absorption) it was very noisy. The chairs are not so comfortable with thin and worn cushions. Service overall was good considering how busy it was. Looking at the wine list, our choice was actually cheaper by the glass than by the bottle, a little strange but it suited us. Decided to share a plate of bruschetta as an appetiser but at nearly £7 was expensive for 3 pieces of toast topped with tomato and onion. There is a decent food selection on the menu plus chalkboard specials. Food was plentiful and tasty. We shared a dessert at £5.50 (all same price) which was a tad expensive. Overall we were satisfied with what we had but the bill was £60 and would have been another £12-15 extra had we not shared courses. Overall a little expensive for quality of food but still very popular.

I visited here with my wife and daughter as we live local and have never been due to hearsay of bad experiences. We brushed this aside and gave it a go for ourselves. When we arrived (we hadn't booked) and asked the girl behind the counter for a table for 3. There were only about 3 tables taken up with customers and the rest were free but she couldn't direct us to one as she had to wait for the manager to authorise her choice and point us to the table. We were seated near the serving hatch to the kitchen and immediately I was taken aback by the poor table decor. Paper napkins and paper tablecloths, along with uncomfortable chairs.
We were met by our server and I asked for the wine menu. I have never seen such a poor wine menu. No description, no country of origin,no alcohol content %....just a name. I asked a young lad if they had a more descriptive wine list or more information, he then just pointed to a fridge behind us that house the wine and walked off...shocking!
I took a rash decision and chose a wine, which I must admit was nice, but all in all, a very poor representation to a main quality of a restaurant.
The food was nothing to shout about. Standard and a little bland in areas. Certainly not worth the prices they were charging.
We had to overhear an angry conversation with a member of waiting staff and a chef because a main course was ready for a table and they hadn't finished their dessert. It seemed very rushed.
Once we had our food not a single person came back to the table and asked if everyone was ok and if the food was all ok.
The bill was brought to our table when we had finished, yet we hadnt even asked for it. We guessed they were trying to get us out to vacate the table. I paid and we left. We walked to the door were the manager and two other members of staff were stood. Not a thank you or goodbye was observed.
The staff are badly in need of some serious customer service training and they need to pay more attention to the table decor considering the prices they charge. The wine menu needs some serious attention and the manager/owner needs to step back from being so controlling and making his customers feel so uncomfortable.

Myself and my husband visited this evening. We had not booked and when we arrived it was very busy so wondered if we would get a table. We did straight away and our drink order was taken and brought straight away also which we enjoyed whilst we perused the menu. We had garlic bread and the ribs to start which was very good and followed by lasagne and seafood rissetto for our mains. Lovely. Really friendly staff, very good food and drinks .......so a very pleasant evening. Will return and recommend

Went with 6 friends on a thusday. Was a little concerned given some of the earlier reviews but had nothing to worry about. We all had excellent food cooked to perfection and the service was exceptional. I would recommend the meatballs to start steak narone and sticky toffee pudding with ice cream all cooked to perfection. The cost was very reasonable and we were not rushed in any way.
