“Interesting place to visit”
Reviewed 17 September 2016

Quite an interesting place to visit. To see how the story of the whale, and how they floated Grandpa's store to it's present site are both interesting. There are many antiques, some great fishing stories and a nice little gift shop. Well worth a stop if you are in the area.

Always nice to know that all your hard work is being appreciated. Thanks so much! Be sure next time to take a boat tour with me , as we try and make that the very best part of your Nl vacation. Fun and safety is our two main concerns. Just bought 2 brand new 4 stroke motors to make sure we won't be rowing back to the dock. Also should be thrilling with 180 horses behind us!!

“What an Interesting Visit!”
Reviewed 16 September 2016 via mobile

We stopped to visit the shop & museum on a very chilly and windy day. The shop has some worthwhile things but the real interesting part is outside where you can visit the fishing stage, blacksmith shop, whale skeleton, etc. Capt Dave had just towed back a dead whale - approx 18 ft in length - the day before, and was attempting to hoist it up from the water. He thought perhaps it had starved to death. He was generous with his time and knowledge. Well worth a stop to visit!

Thanks for your kind words. The Sei whale- a juvenile- was actually 30 feet in length. Again, thanks for stopping by!

First time I have been called a " wonderful Man" but I'll accept that title! LOL

Thanks for the visit and kind words. Next time take a boat ride with me - you would really enjoy our personalized tours with two new 90 HP motors that really give us a thrill and enable us to visit many different sites and do different things in a relatively short time.
Thanks again!

“Great fish tales!”

Bill was our guide and he even performed a song with his guitar and an 'ugly' stick! Fascinating look at Newfoundland fishing industry with lots of artifacts. Whale skeleton is really interesting.
