We ( my husband and my 2 girls) were already staying in a nice and great place in Culebra. My parents have to arrive a day earlier so I have to make a reservation for my parents for just one night in a quiet place. So I found Naniqui, quiet place, no kids, and seem cozy. The owner called to confirm the reservation, and for the owner convenience, due the ferry could be late, we agree that I would make the check in process for my parents. As I arrive to check in, there is no Front Desk, so I get to Nanis Restaurant. More than seven minutes pass since someone at least greet me, but is Ok, I understand you also have a restaurant, so you’re multitasking. When the one in charge get out of the kitchen, doesn’t even say hello, I told her I was the one for the check in, she proceed to walk without talk, so I follow her. I notice my girls, that were in my car were crying, and as the owner is seeking something, I run to my car to comfort them, because I doesn’t even dare to take them to make check in, due I know you don’t allow kids, and immediately I notice the owner yelling at us to move the car, without saying that she have a place to park, just that we have to move. So I get in the car, my husband move the car, and ask where to park. I send him to make the check in, and stay with my girls. She told him I leave during the process (no more than 2 minutes pass till we park the car) so he have to wait till she finished in the kitchen ( oh no, more time) . As she take the money (no documents at all to sign, just cash) she told him exactly “I see you have kids, and I don’t allow kids to stay or even visit, also check out is at 10:00 a.m. sharp”. As he told her, “As you know, we are not the ones staying and we already knows you’re policies”. If it wasn’t that late, and was for my parents, I would cancel the reservation, the room was comfortable as they told me, but the lack of customer service and manners outshine the place, very unwelcoming. The only unfortunate encounter in this vacation was dealing with this. Remember “It’s not what you say, it’s how you said it”.More
