I've been supporting this place since they opened and the trend is slightly down in my experience. There needs to be a refresh of this place, to the menu, to the waiting staff and to the ambience. Don't get me wrong, It still is a great place but maybe they could sit down and revisit the components that would make this place consistently excellent rather than just very good. We have had mixed levels of service (from the surly to the most amazing 'nothing is too much trouble), mixed quality of food (from amazingly fresh or just cooked to not heated very well and very ordinary presentation). We will continue to support this place but truly hope we'll see a revitalised place in time for our summer visits.

The food was not good at all.
- Seafood chowder was tasteless, even though added some salt it was still bad! The ciabatta was too hard to eat!!
- Pork belly burger was not good - bun bread was too hard; slaw was tasteless (actually it should not be called slaw, it was only shredded cabbage and carrot mixed with some dressing); pork belly was too hard and crackling skin was burnt; even the fries were not good!!!!
- Beef cheek had a strong smell, and the sauce was horrible

Recommendation: let's eat out at other restaurants in Greytown!

This is the second time we have been here for a meal and have tried to use the disabled car park and both times staff cars were in the park. Yesterday the car parked there had the White Swan details on it. The responce we got the first time made me reluctant to comment a second time. Negotiated around the car park and had an adequate meal- tender pork with very tough crackling. The wait staff were quite lovely but the older male ? manager was once again off-hand and appeared generally uninterested in diners.

We called in to book and found the staff to be very helpful. Set in a separate spacious dinning room pleasantly decorated The food was tasty and hot and the desert we had was delicious. The service was also prompt and we wouldn't hesitate to go back and dine there.

My sisters and I booked a table at The White Swan to take our mum out for lunch for Mother's day. The staff seemed very stressed and ill-prepared. It was quite busy, however this is to be expected on Mothers day weekend. The table was unstable and my sister's wine tipped over, we went to the bar to order a new one. The bartender thrust a towel at us to clean it up ourselves and took over 15 minutes to come back with a new glass of wine. Also, our salad turned up with some hair in it. They replaced the salad when we asked, however there was no apology.
