“SO helpful!”

Smithfield and Isle of Wight Visitor Center
Ranked #3 of 16 things to do in Smithfield
Attraction details
Reviewed September 22, 2014

We had questions about getting to certain historical sites in the Smithfield area. This was our second visit here in three years, and we wanted to know about both Fort Boykin and Fort Huger. We stopped here for information, and the staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. They were able to provide us with directions but also recommendations for our day in the area. A "must-stop" destination if you need to know anything!

This should be the first place to stop. The person was very helpful with walking tours. Lots of artwork on display, along with with artists rooms.

The first place to visit is the Visitor Center. Friendly and informative staff. Loads of information on things to do.

The gentleman we spoke to was very pleasant. Not only was he informative on all the places to see and visit, he also took a personal interest, asking me and my fiance` what brought us to the area. Turns out, he even knew my relatives that live there that we were visiting.

Directed us to historical sites in Smithfield as well as the surroundind area. I dislike having to meet a minimum number of words in this review
