We were looking for something interesting in Sterling VA and came upon Mokomandy. Korean and Cajun?? We couldn’t resist. Once there we were happy to discover it’s not fusion but the two styles of Cuisine are separate. It’s very open and bright (bright lighting) which can sometimes be a turn-off but this worked. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable with in-depth knowledge of the menu and preparations. They do quite a bit of Sous Vide which we found interesting and well executed. Baby octopus and pork belly. Sounds odd, yes but it was great. Fried chicken was excellent as was the brisket and the short rib. We were not disappointed and I recommend giving it a try if you’re in the area.
