We have been to Mokomandy three times and it never disappoints. It took us a while to go there because the sound of Korean Cajun fusion did not entice us at first. The two styles are separate and it works. The menu changes regularly and the selections of tapas-like small dishes is always intriguing - stuff you don’t see elsewhere. I love the baked bone marrow. It sounds strange but it’s served in the bone with carmelized onions and brioche. I also go for the pork belly and octopus. The good thing is, you order many dishes so you can taste all of the chef’s cool ideas.
Mokomandy is small place so reservations are encouraged. The bar is simply outstanding. Lots of great cocktails with a knowledgeable and laid back staff. I highly recommend having dinner at the bar and watching the bar tender make delicious concoctions (the menu is the same at the bar and table side).
