Went there last night, due to Florence we were one of only 2 tables yet everything was perfect. We each started with a cocktail, the French martini was so good! We then opted for the Chef’s degustation menu with wine pairings which was 5 courses of perfection. My favorite was the first course of lobster and scallop, I never eat scallops because they were always chewy and rubbery...this scallop was soooo succulent and tender I was scraping my plate. Next was duck with foil gras and white peaches, best duck I ever had, no fat it was rendered skillfully. Next came the plate cleanser, a refreshing sorbet with some sparkling rose poured over it, a slushy to die for. Up next a trio of meats that included lamb, beef and veal, all melt in your mouth. For dessert we did the symphony which included mini soufflé, tiramisui, chocolate cake, lemon mousse and raspberry coulis, plated like mouthwatering artwork.
Service was spot on, friendly, engaging and helpful without being intrusive. The sommelier was what I call a wine whisperer, every vintage complimented every part of each course with a few surprises. Do not hesitate you must try real fine dining in Virginia Beach! We will definitely be back!
